Due out on April 24 for 6,800 yen at retail and 5,714 yen via download in Japan, the game is directed by Tatsumi Takuma. Katsunori Kobayashi and Kikakuya are doing the scenario, and character design is being handled by Hiiro Yuki.

Stupid title but I love it

  • artemisthemp

Need more information to figure out the chance for localization.

  • TheExile285

    LOL, DAT title xD

  • Guest

Will it be the same style of Disgaea?

  • tubers

Adventure? Is it more like a VN or something that plays more traditionally (srpg/actionrpg)?

    • icecoffemix

AFAIK When Japs said Adventure they usually mean VN style game. I could be wrong though.

    PSNOW give me your power

  • MitsukiIX

  • Vayne

They look very Moe in my opinion.

  • icecoffemix

very subtle! I wonder what’s the game all about :P

Holy crap the Male Protagonist is about to see True Hell in a Horrid but Beautiful way!!! May Your Death be quick -_-.

  • Sevyne

lol! That’s a hell of a fantastic title!

  • Aleksandrina

“Adventure game”… Hmm, hopefully it’s not a Visual Novel. Not that I’ve anything against it, I’d just prefer something a bit more exciting.

    • gangrelion

The original announcement on the magazine let it more clear by pointing out it is a “Galge”. Anyway: “Adventure game” is never used to classify Visual Novels in Japan, this confusion is USA-exclusive :)

      • Kaitou

Good because in PlayAsia I always see Visual Novel games as Adventure.

        • gangrelion

I think it all started with old point-and-click games which were called “Adventure games” by some. People at the time probably felt Galges were pretty close to them, so they started to group them in the same genre…or so I believe

          • Kaitou

Looking at the scan, it does look like a visual novel

        >”Adventure game” is never used to classify Visual Novels in Japan

Lolwat? The confusion that you speak of doesn’t even exist. I still see VNs being termed ‘Adventure’ multiple places (one of which being Play-Asia, which was mentioned earlier) :|

If you’re going to pull something from Siliconera, the least you could do is try to be less obvious about it next time.

        • gangrelion

Do the possibility that I could get this info from other source even crossed your mind? Or is Siliconera that absolute of a site for you? This is not some seriously exclusive and hot info, you know? In fact, I am not sure if this info is even correct…

          • TetsuyaHikari

Siliconera certainly isn’t an absolute site for me, lol. You must be new around here if you think that Siliconera holds any weight with the commenters here (Siliconera leaves a bad taste in most of our mouths around these parts).

So yeah, the possibility did cross my mind, but eh… It doesn’t really matter if you got this “info” from somewhere else since it doesn’t erase the fact that Visual Novels are still being addressed under the ‘Adventure’ genre in Japan, even though you said this confusion was USA-exclusive, when clearly… It is not.

Maybe the confusion here is actually gangrelion-exclusive :p

            • gangrelion

Nah! We were talking about this new Nippon Ichi game which is a LoveSim. Those are called Galge or Eroge in Japan. The article in the magazine also call it a Galge. If you were talking about titles that don’t focus on romance, it’s a different story though.

              • TetsuyaHikari

Love Simulation =/= Adventure =/= Visual Novel

You’re splitting hairs here, man. In the end, it’s just another Adventure game because it’s going to be a bunch of text, click click click, voices here and there along with BGM and artwork, but no real gameplay per se.

  • DesmaX

Wow, now that’s a subtle title

  • shogunknight

The funny thing is, i cant see a yandere turn out from any of those faces. This would be a very interesting game to see how it turns out

  • Raiu

    “Yandere Hell”

Sold!!! If only NISA help to bring this out of Japan…

  • OverlordZetta

If this has any kind of gameplay to it, I want it and I want it now.

  • Nightcore34

Damn, Need to learn Japanese cause as much as I want this game I don’t think it has a chance of being localised even if it’s by NIS

    • Renaldi Saputra

if it’s VN, then yes, it have no chance.. NISA don’t do VN IIRC

      • kurosan9712

Well, they did Disgaea Infinite, but that’s a special case.

        • Budgiecat

They were betting on the pre-established Disgaea Western fanbase thats why

    • Budgiecat

Why do you want it you have no idea what it is other than the title, a generic moe concept art shot and that its a VN

      • Nightcore34

Firstly I’ve been trying to get into VN’s so far I only have clannad so that’s one reason and the next reason is mostly cause I trust NIS, they’re good developers and the title sounds funny, and makes me think the story will have good plot turns etc.

  • Lelouch Vi Britannia

I’ll skip this one. Not into the Yandere though i have a friend who is.

  • BigDix

If I Thought Japan Was Gaming Paradise, It Was Moe Hell….

  • Six
  • Learii

    will this game getting localized?

  • Solomon_Kano

No interest in the game, but that name is gold.

  • Kobracon

    That NAME!

  • Chestnut Bowl

The title alone means it will be a golden experience.
