BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma

BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma is coming to PS Vita in Japan on April 24 for 5,800 yen, the latest issue of Dengeki PlayStation reveals.

The PS Vita version will offer new events like a beach bathing scene, as well as shared downloadable content with the PlayStation 3 version and updates from the arcade version. Players will also be able to review highlights from the series.

Thanks, Re: Zaregoto.

Awesome. I’m not surprised, but glad it’s finally announced, I was waiting for this. Good thing I didn’t preorder the PS3 version.

(They just have to announce the english version now though, but I might double dip anyway.)

  • artemisthemp

I may have to get EU version of Blazblue now

  • Elvick

All of my yes. ALL OF IT.

So happy to see Blazblue on Vita again.

  • Skerj

Yup, bought. Twice even. Thrice if there’s a PS4 version in the works, or else I continue my wait for Xrd.

    • Gariya

Xrd might be released on Vita too.

  • TheExile285

    YESSSSS!!!! ****ING YES!!!! FINALLY!!!!

  • Vayne

Play fight in the portable is better than the console?

  • Rising Overlord

Yes!! Now I just hope the online mode won’t be as dead as BBCCEX is on the Ps Vita now. I can’t even find a ranked match most of the time and if i do it’s someone on simple controls using Tager or Noel.

Moderator – Stop posting stuff like this. Please.

  • SuperLuigi

Sweet. Hope this version eventually comes to the west.

  • Anime10121

So… wait, someone correct me if I’m wrong, but are they saying the Vita version contains extra’s not in the console version? Because if so, I’ll cancel my preorder for the PS3 version, and get the Vita one, which I should be able to use on Vita TV :P

  • Jorge Tavani

  • Auragar

Whoo! I knew it would happen. :D

  • Sevyne

And now I’ll get the Vita version. Totally expected this.

  • Servbot_Society

Not surprised. Hopefully, the console version (which I have since Nov) will get the said updates in a future patch. I’m not sure if I’ll preorder this Vita version…b-b-but if there’s a LE with yet another Nendoroid Petit… Just too many Feb-May JP games already preordered. >_<

  • fireemblembeast

But I just preordered the ps3 one!
I need to know if this is coming here… I’d rather have it for handheld

    • DrForbidden

I’m curious: do you find it easier to play fighting games on a handheld than the PS3? For me, it’s the opposite…

      • Chestnut Bowl

It’s much easier for me to play on a console. However, I’d also rather have this for the Vita since I can play it anywhere and I spend a fair amount of time outside of my house.

      • fireemblembeast

Idk I just like playing anywhere anytime, like under the covers at night, and not have my parents nag me for playing for too long. Also the TV I use for games is an SD TV so the Vita looks better to me. But I actually started off with BBCSII on 3DS so I prefer handheld controls for fighting games in general

  • dark-kyon

hopefully arksys can cut down the loading times in the vita version.

    • GamingGuy1802

They need to add the install option just like they did in the PS3 to install directly to the memory card

  • Ayane

will there be a version for NA?

  • TheExile285

come on man, BlazBlue has always had light fanservice; console and portable releases:/

  • DrForbidden

There’s plenty of Otaku fanservice shit on 3DS, in addition to plenty of shovelware as well. Neither of those seem to have hurt the 3DS, as long as there is plenty of stuff like MH and Pokemon as well.

    That’s just my observation.

  • Budgiecat

But the fact that they just ‘had’ to throw it in there as a new extra and make note of it just screams desperation..

  • TheExile285

This is a port. They wouldn’t be making it at all if they were “desperate”.

  • Luna Kazemaru

Seeing as how they make money off the arcade’s,dlc and the console version they re far from desperate lol.

  • Chestnut Bowl

Desparate for who? Arc is already making money, Sony doesn’t need this as it’s far from a killer app. There’s other and better games for fans of risque content.

How does this scream desperation when no one is giving even one fuck?
