Boxing and baseball coming in 2014.

Golf is now available as the third sport in Wii Sports Club for Wii U.

Golf utilizes the Wii U GamePad controller and Wii MotionPlus remote in asking the player to place the GamePad on the floor in front of their TVs. Players can see the ball on the GamePad screen, and use their Wii controller to hit the ball. When the ball is hit, it fires off the GamePad screen and onto the TV screen.

On Wii U, Golf includes the nine-hold course from the original Wii Sports, as well as a newly developed nine-hole course based on Golf US Course, a Nintendo game developed and launched over 25 years ago.

A 24-hour free trial of Wii Sports Club is available to sample all three sports. Each can be purchased individually for $9.99. Boxing and baseball will come to Wii Sports Club in 2014.

Yes, definitely picking this one up.

Not sure how I feel about putting the GamePad on the floor.
I mean, I don’t have a problem with it, but could see people tripping over it. It’s a bit unusual.

The addition of more courses is a welcome one. Very much so.
It’d be nice if they could add more courses in the future.

I ended picking it up today.
There’s a few oddities, but I’d say overall it’s an improvement over the original. I do hope they can add new content over time.

There’s recently been a new course made available.
Takes it from 18 holes available to 27. Great stuff.

Hopefully they can keep these updates coming.
