From PlayStation to PSone and onward.

PlayStation 4 launched in North America yesterday, meaning it’s the perfect time to stack every PlayStation up against each other and show how the console has evolved. And that’s exactly what YouTube group Unbox Therapy did.

Watch their evolution of PlayStation video below.

  • Martian Wong

The first two cannot be placed like that….

    • Budgiecat

Not true I used to do it

    • Elvick

You can put them upside down. :3

      dat versatility

  • EX+

    Gimme teh hardware porn!

  • Crossbones (Prodigy-X)

I don’t know their going to get smaller than the PS4 with all that tech built in.

  • rockman29

    Missing one version of Slim.

Also if want to be super anal, the PSX :P

    Very nice video tho

    • Elvick

      And the original PS3 bootup.

  • Charlie

The PS2 has always been and always will be, the best console of all time.

    • Spicy Chicken

Agreed, I love my PS2. I’m considering getting a spare ‘just in case’. One’s things for sure, I’ll always come back to it, always.

      • Charlie

That reminds me, i need to buy another one. My PS2 broke last year.

  • ayb_91

    @0:20, unremovable creapy squares lol.

  • TetsuyaHikari

Nice, but you guys forgot about the PSP and Vita. I’d consider those part of the Playstation generation too.

    • Budgiecat

      • TetsuyaHikari

That too. It was REALLY popular in Japan. You could even play JoJo on it, lol.

  • Charlie

I forgot to mention, what’s with the porn music in the background?

    • TetsuyaHikari

Can’t you see? It’s obviously a video about incest.

      • Charlie

        HAHA! That made me chuckle.

  • Blizzaja

  • Elvick

Why does no one ever show both PS3 start ups when they do these things?

  • l1lyone

PS2 – the peak of evolution.

    • miyamoto

      Nope. PS4

    • MrRobbyM

Agreed. This past gen was a fun ride but I gotta say, in terms of amount of games, especially RPGs, the PS3 was nothing compared to the PS2. The PS2 just had everything. Biggest bang for my buck I’ve ever spent.

  • Nerroth

I like this take on the concept better:
