Perform a Full Strip in Akiba’s Trip 2

Collect flyers around Akiba to fill up your map.

With Akiba’s Trip 2 due out on PlayStation 3 and PS Vita in Japan this Thursday, Acquire has revealed the game’s most important feature—the forbidden “Full Strip.”

The Akiba’s Trip series features the trait of undressing your enemy, as their skin is sensitive to sunlight. In Akiba’s Trip 2, these undressing techniques have evolved to the point where you can fully undress an enemy. When you pull off the “Full Strip,” your enemy’s private parts aren’t shown, but are instead covered by a dazzling light. They will soon turn to ash, leaving only their underwear on the battlefield.

The underwear you acquire at the end of a “Full Strip” can later be equipped to the protagonist and, under certain conditions, heroine characters. Collected underwear is also registered to the in-game encyclopedia.

There’s another collection element, too. Over 130 real-name Akihabara stores appear in Akiba’s Trip 2. By collecting flyers handed out around town, you can both add to your encyclopedia and fill up your map of Akihabara.

What are the odds we’d see this outside of Japan?

edit; Not sure what stick is in people’s asses today, but obviously I meant in EU/NA…

Very good, considering that it’s already been announced for localization for countries such as Taiwan, Singapore etc.

      • DrForbidden

There is no localisation for countries such as Taiwan, Singapore, etc.

EDIT: Seems like I was wrong and a few titles have Chinese localised versions.

it is clear that this is a dr troll in disguise

          • DrForbidden

Not sure what you mean by that, but anyway, thanks for wearing your fanboyism on your sleeve.

              • DrForbidden

EDIT: I was partly wrong. The Chinese/Korean version(s) will be available, but only next year.

Maybe you missed this. Stop living under a rock. :

              • DrForbidden

Are you referring to the Chinese version of DW7? If so, then I stand corrected and apologise. I didn’t see anything about AKIBAsTrip 2, though.

11:52. You just aren’t looking hard enough, or you wanted to ignore the fact that you were wrong.

                  • DrForbidden

Nope, I just don’t have time to view the entire hour-long video so I skimmed through parts of it. I already admitted I was wrong in the previous post about there not being localisations in other languages. You could have just told me the timestamp to start off with, in your last post.

                    • Guest

sorry, I don’t have a habit of spoonfeeding info when it’s easy to look for (and yes, I live in Singapore as well).

                    • DrForbidden

Except it’s not easy to look for. Most news sources just say the game is releasing in Asia without mentioning the language, Play-Asia only lists the Japanese versions, and even PSN Asia does not list the game at present. The only source of information that clarifies it is in a 50-minute video that not everyone has time to watch.

                      In any case, thanks.

ask a stupid question, get a stupid reply.

        on point

    • Audie Bakerson

Honestly, even if I were somehow in a position of power to get it translated, I wouldn’t just yet. Acquire tends to release Plus versions of their games with some big improvements (though WotS4 was just the game+all DLC, so who knows)

      • Elvick

        Thanks for the real response.

  • Watahashi

I wonder if these underwear can be equipped on your head. I hope to ravage the town as Boxer-man.

  • Budgiecat

Is this an “oh Japan…” moment?

  • Eclipse

    Dat “Full Strip” technique…

That serene look on the MCs face is hilarious, haha.

  • new_tradition

So cross-dressing confirmed for MC? Sweet ♥

    • Audie Bakerson

Given アナザーワールド was a thing in the first game: yes.

I will note that clothing in the first game was color coded in menu for male/femaleness, but I don’t see it in any menu screenshots.

  • maruhadapurpurine

Am I the only one here that thinks that the fact that this game even exists is really wrong?

    • DrForbidden

    • Kevadu

      I preordered it!

Seriously, though, I’ve seen much worse. This is all pretty tongue-in-cheek. And it’s a pretty cool looking game otherwise.

    • Audie Bakerson

    • Kobracon

Most likely. Its just game, man. Chill

  • xcornmuffinx

The first game was relatively fun. The combat was pretty simple and so was the story but it is kind of a goofy romp through a satirical look at otaku culture, which is fun.

Also, it’s about as risque as the characters in Rampage slinking off in a barrel for anyone who is actually worried about it. There is no nudity and pretty much everyone you fight is a vampire who disintegrates once their clothes are gone.

  • DichaTesoro

I’ve been seeing stories on this site about this game for a while now, but have not clicked any of them. Finally decide to click on one…and it’s about striping down enemies. Okay. Sounds different, which isn’t necessarily bad thing. (not interested myself, though.)

  • Santashi

My copy shipped today. Looking forward to the daftness and hijinks!

  • PrinceHeir

    want this!
