        • Kobracon

Sure thing. Transfer $5000 to my bank account. Games are super expensive in my country.

Seems a bit late to be released. With next-gen being released this year, I thought they might of had it released before X-mas at least. Plus Infamous: Second Son is out in march, so I will be getting that instead :-D

  • PrinceHeir

Japan get’s it this december right?

looks like i’ll be getting the JPN copy first before the US one ^^

    • DarthBrian

      If I had a job and I hadn’t just bought a ps4 and a ton of games, I’d be importing too. But I can’t. :(

Just curious, the JPN release doesn’t have English audio and menu text does it?

      • ayb_91

I really don’t think so. KH 1.5 for example. It was purely Japanese when it got released first in Japan.

  • Faye Lee

Our, that beautiful game, who needs Next Gen.

  • Kobracon

Oh man… I gonna have to double dip? Coz I really want to play this on the Vita, but a free upgrade? gggrrrrrmhmmhmmadhkdkfdfdsfa

I hope there is cross saves or at least cross buy….

    • cookiewaffle

      cross-save. yes
      cross-buy. no

      • Kobracon

        Good enough! Thanks.

  • ayb_91

I’m not surprised they delayed it three months from the Japanese version. Remember KH 1.5 ?? Yeah, the same procedure again. But I think they spent more time on FF X-2 ( Last Mission ). It will need a full translation of text and voice acting. Can’t wait !!

    • MasterSensei

Remember that they also added a new part onto the end of either Final Fantasy X or X-2 (I can’t remember) that they would have to translate!

      • ayb_91

Yeah. ” Eternal Calm”. Do you think they will make a sequel of FF X?? FF X0. If we look at the way they are remaking KH ( 1.5 and 2.5 ), they will likely announce a new FF X sequel which talks about the past of Yuna’s father, Jacht and Auron. It will be awesome !!

        • bloodiOS

Eternal Calm has already been localized though, it’s the newly added audio drama that would need to be dubbed (well, that and Last Mission.)

        • MasterSensei

Kingdom Hearts 1.5 wasn’t a sequel (unless you’re talking about Chain of Memories) it was a HD version of Kingdom Hearts sort of like this. And if they did announce a new Final Fantasy X sequel it would be more like Final Fantasy X-(Minus instead of the dash)3 since it would be a prequel. And I 100% agree with you that a prequel to Final Fantasy X will be awesome because anything with Jecht is awesome! (also since it will be a new game it will be in full HD with nice textures)

          • ayb_91

Thanks for agreeing with me. It is just a wonderful thought after all. Don’t get your hopes up :p

  • bldudas

This is great. >.< I wanted the Japanese version also, but I might just get the US version.

  • Archvile

The day of my birthday heh? I know what i’m getting then~

  • Sevyne

Oh come on now….Have to wait even longer than that for the Vita version? Damn it all.

    • TheExile285

You’re telling me. Japan is getting both versions in December so this makes no sense.

  • Budgiecat

The imagery of Tidus and Yuna is so inconsistent. In one pic they look like Asian South Pacific islanders; Tidus especially, being darker sinned. In another pic Tidus looks like Meg Ryan and Yuna looks like generic Japanese anime idol, then in the recent limited edition cover pic, Tidus looks like Justin Beiber. wut…

    • EX+

      Lol, that’s true.

    • ayb_91

Lol. SE seems to be trying to satisfy all kind of audiences :p

  • Blaz

Isn’t that one month after the release of FF13-3, what a dumb move!

  • DarthBrian

That’s like 3 days before Infamous Second Son. >__<

    • dmysta3000

That statement kinda falls flat when you consider KH1.5 came out around the same time as GTAV and still managed to be one of the best selling games of the month.

      • DarthBrian

Not talking about sales. Talking about time I have to play all these games coming out at the same time.

Like I completely skipped GTAV because I was playing Kingdom Hearts instead. So you’re making my point for me.

  • DarthBrian

By the way, massive spoilers in that new trailer if you haven’t played the games yet.
This has been a public service announcement by your friendly neighborhood spoiler-watch. Have a nice day.

    • KingNigma

      Saved! Thanks.

  • Zefhar

X-2 animation looks as bad as the original. The only thing I really liked from the sequel was the battle system.

    • ayb_91

Excuse me ?? Bad ?? Originally, this game was made in 2003. If you do the calculations right, you will know that it is 10 years old. It is not comparable to most of games in that time it terms of animation/graphics. Even Sony’s games were not close to it. Keep this in mind also, graphics are not EVERYTHING. You are absolutely welcome.

      • Zefhar

Perhaps I should have been more specific.

I bought FFX for PS2 about one week after its release ten years ago. I played it and enjoyed it thoroughly. Not the best Final Fantasy out there, but one of my favorite games of all times in terms of story and gameplay. Of course I praised the amazing graphics and animation, both in-engine and pre-rendered cutscenes.

Then I heard about FFX-2 but, after a little research, I decided I was not interested in it. However, a cousin of mine gifted me a copy of FFX-2 for Christmas, so I gave it a try. I played it, and I hated it. I hated it sooo much for showcasing a completely off-character Yuna and introducing other characters that didn’t add to the FFX world. It didn’t help that the music and the mission-driven storytelling was lame. The only thing I enjoyed, as I previously stated, was the battle system, with triggeable abilities via dressphere changes and whatnot. I thought that was a nice and innovative approach to RPG battles that suited well the X-2 theme.

FFX-2 doesn’t have as good in-game animation as FFX does. It’s actually pretty bad. Please take in mind that this evaluation occured in mi mind as I played both titles back in their respective release dates.

Now, allow me to rephrase my original post:

“Judging from this trailer, the Remastered version of FFX-2 has animation that looks as bad as the original FFX-2 animation.”

Thus, my opinion didn’t have anything to do with the quality of the predecessor’s (FFX) in-game, or CGI animation, which I still consider top notch.

Sorry for the misunderstanding and the long post.

        • ayb_91

Thanks friend. Personally, I loved and still love X. The main problem, in my opinion, is too girly !! But I really enjoyed fighting strong bosses. The ones that in Bevelle Tower in chapter 5.

          Sorry and thanks again Zefhar.

        • Samuel Giam

Paine was not added in Final Fantasy X because she was not relevant to the game’s story before FF X-2 was announced for development.

Even if the HD Remaster have her added in the FF X part of the game, there will be only one cutscene appearance of Paine looking for Nooj, Baralai and Gippal in the second aftermath cutscene of Operation Mihen in which Yuna was sending the souls of the failed Operation casualties to the Farplane.

  • EX+

You know what? This is good.
We have to wait even longer for the VITA version (which sucks), but this and LRFFXIII are SE Japan’s last big current gen games. After this thing releases, SE will be able to focus more on the FF15 and KH3. They will also have to give us info on both games (more so FFXV) on a much more regular basis. Appearing at every E3, TGS and Jump Festa until the games release, giving us info (not footage, just info) on a regular basis.
Kind of off topic, but I just wanted to get it off my chest.

    • Arcana Gear

Yeo, from a bussiness perspective it wouldnt be good to take the spotlight of upcoming games with info of games that will take some time….. so i expect more info when these two be out.

  • bloodiOS

    I’ve never felt more justified to pre-order a game…

  • artemisthemp

So I won’t be able to use Summoner Garb on my first playthrough of Lightning Returns :(

  • Elvick

    That’s not winter. D:<

I'm bummed there's no news on Vita. I hope the delay means they're working out a retail release, because if they delay the Vita version just to release it digital only… that's some b/s. *looking at you Sega*

On the other hand, I hope this isn't SE trying to pass over the Vita version and cancel it's localization by just waiting for everyone to stop caring.

    • Samuel Giam

Though I don’t live in the US or any multi-season country, March 2014 is not Winter anymore, so the Winter 2013/2014 promise is just complete nonsense from Square Enix. I just hope that SE (NA) better prepare a apology in a form of DLC or we’ll be screwed all over again.

  • Samuel Giam

March 18, 2014 is way too long. But I know it’s Square Enix’s fault for completing the Japanese version way too late by the end of this month. But still, those who think pre-orders for FF X/X-2 HD Remaster is over are still in luck as the pre-orders will now end on February 2014 instead of the end of this month.

  • Charlie

    The box art is incredible!
