Description says it'll include all the post-release DLC.

Amazon Italy has listed a Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition for PlayStation 4 and another “unknown platform” (it’s probably Xbox One).

The listing comes complete with a description, the end of which reads, “All released DLC will be included in this fantastic edition for next-gen consoles. For this particular edition, pre-orders are provided with an exclusive pack and integrated art book.”

A January 24 release date is also mentioned.

Square Enix has not announced a next-gen version of Tomb Raider, which was released earlier this year for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC. However, it has said that a next-gen sequel is in development.

Thanks, DualShockers.

    a version with tressFX?

  • Wolf Star

I would love to buy Tomb Raider for Ps4 since I don’t have on Ps3 anymore since I rent it from redbox.

  • bloodiOS

1080p@30fps with TressFX, 1080p@60fps without it, or an in-game option to choose between the two? I just hope that the hair will behave naturally and realistic, if the PS4 version does indeed utilize TressFX.

On an unrelated note, I’m hoping to see TressFX 2.0 being utilized in The Last Guardian when it is released on the PS4.

    • TimRobbins

Funny you mention hair. I played through this recently and one of the more memorable scenes for me was when Lara was bound upside down. I can’t forget that her hair was perfectly plastered going against gravity to her chin.

      • bloodiOS

        With or without TressFX enabled?

    • shogunknight

If TressFx is what is standing between me and 60fps then it is officially Tress-passing my FX experience

      • bloodiOS

Worst case scenario would be that we get it 1080p@30fps WITHOUT TressFX.

        • TheBlackRabbit

is it really that bad annie?

          • bloodiOS

Perhaps not but it certainly isn’t ideal. It personally would make the port a lot less enticing for me to double-dip.

            • TheBlackRabbit

This is true. I was kinda amp’ed up when i saw half of the title then deflated when it wasn’t a sequel
              :D —–> Q~Q ——> :D a bit bittersweet right now XP

          • GhostNomad

Considering that we’re talking about next-gen consoles, I’d expect the best kind of improvements :D

            • TheBlackRabbit

I can agree with that :D

    • GhostNomad

That last sentence of yours sounds a little too certain, Annie! Better pull back your feels so that you won’t be disappointed!

      • bloodiOS

Nah, I’m quite used to moving the goal post for that game already.

  • MasterSensei

    • hush404

      You don’t HAVE to :P

      • MasterSensei

But I WANT to. The game is pretty fun to play and I had a lot of fun with it even though it wasn’t my type of game (My types of games are JRPG’s, Fighting games, driving games, and SRPG’s/RTS’) so I kind of look forward to playing it on next gen consoles.

  • Solomon_Kano

    Well, that would be nice.

  • Anime10121

Though I want a sequel more! I’ll take it! I loved Tomb Raider, honestly think it’s better than Uncharted imo (well barring 2) since Tomb Raider was less scripted and you could actually die in your jumps.

Can’t wait for more Laura :)

    • DarthNemesis

So TR is better can die in jumps rethought it copied Uncharted and was very scripted? Yeah that makes sense.I died more while jumping in every Uncharted game BTW.All 3 Uncharted games are superior.

      • Anime10121

Your opinion bro. Which you are entitled to just as much as I am to mine. I love Uncharted, but I liked TR more. Am I not allowed to have a differing opinion?

  • Alkhan

I loved playing Tomb Raider but I wouldn’t want to play through it again. I don’t even remember what it was about and it was really short but good

  • hush404

I’d buy it. Really enjoyed it the first time around.

  • artemisthemp

It would make sense to release it for PS4, since the squeal is been release for PS4

  • Budgiecat

Fix Lara Croft’s face so it looks more like her CGI counterpart.

Her face looks all puffy and squinty eyed like she got an allergic reaction to eating some wild mushrooms or poisonous berries or plants or something…

    • rurifan

Maybe they could include some nextgen handi-wipes to get rid of the ugly mud coating too.

  • rurifan

This is a good trend; I hope they quickly rerelease every game from the pathetic PS3 generation.

    • Budgiecat

      Except FF XIII, XIII-2, LR.

And if they rerelease the PC port PS3 games (Skyrim, Fallout, Dragon Age)…institute a mod system..

    • AdamBoy64

      You sound a little bitter.

      • rurifan

When top-tier games like The Last of Us are running at an unsightly 25fps, we all have something to be bitter over.

    • Elvick

If it’s pathetic, why would you want them to re-release every game?

      • rurifan

        … so they’re not pathetic?

        • ExTrooperBrenTurner

You, sir, are being pathetic with your worthless comments.

          • rurifan

There’s no reason to be defensive about how bad the PS3/360 generation was anymore.

  • Zancrow

Now we get glorious hair physics! Totally worth it.

    • Charlie

That’s a good enough reason to buy the game for the second time (no sarcasm).

  • Akira_Tenshi

What DLC? It only had crappy multiplayer maps for crappy multiplayer modes. It’s an amazing single player game but there is little reason to buy it again.

  • Elvick

Why? The only DLC (minus one pre-order bonus) was a bunch of multiplayer maps. And multiplayer was slow and terrible.

If they had put out more tombs like people actually… you know, WANTED, then they probably could have made more money on DLC. And this would be more appealing to people.

That said, if they put the PC hair in there… maybe I’d double dip. :P AND it’d be great if they removed the horrible online trophies.
