You'll have to wait to hear about the newborn Zelda.

Nintendo will share more details on the next The Legend of Zelda game for Wii U at E3 2014, series producer Eiji Aonuma has said.

Asked by Mashable if he could share more information on the new title, Aonuma simply responded, “I’ll say more at E3 2014.”

The new Zelda game was first announced in January. It is said to “rethink the conventions of Zelda,” including dungeon order completion, “that you’re supposed to play by yourself,” and “create a newborn Zelda.”

E3 2014? Geez, who knows how much longer it’ll take before the game is released then… This would have done a great deal of good for the Wii U had it been a launch title…

Zelda and Final Fantasy should race to see which comes out first.

As long as it’s better than Skyward Sword, I’ll be happy.

Skyward Sword is a great game. What was wrong with it?

      • Kevin Senkai Nybratt Sandin

Nothing, I guess. I just think the dude wants the series to improve. Skyward Sword was amazing!

It was just a bit boring really. The traditional slow start that Zelda games is just tiring now, they could do with shaking it up like they have done with Pokemon X/Y. The new items weren’t very interesting, and there was far too much backtracking. The story was more fleshed out than previous games, but that’s not saying much.

Plus the controls were awful, really terrible. Every fight looked ridiculous with the enemy blocking slashes from all directions at lightening speed, and it just made the game drag on even longer than necessary. I didn’t like the fact they’d based the entire game around the motion control gimmick.

I’d go as far as saying it’s the worst Zelda game I’ve played, and I definitely wouldn’t class it as a good game, let alone a great one.

Hey, thanks for your comments man.

I’ve heard the motion controls in the game are pretty overdone.

I too have heard of numerous issues with the controls, however when I payed it, they were perfect and the fights had an added layer of fun thanks to them, however I’ll give you to it that they were annoying while swimming, but overall, the game is pretty awesome and I never had any problem with the complaints of the dude above, opinions.

        Welcome to the Zelda Cycle

I’m honestly not surprised as Nintendo is infamous for holding back on console Zelda information.

  • AdamBoy64

Cool. As long as there’s a steady supply of games for the console, I’m not too worried about how long the new Zelda takes.

Hopefully they take their time with it, wouldn’t want to see it rushed.

hopefully they’ll give us an option to play on the Wii U Pro controller this time around ^^

    • AdamBoy64

Ah, were the controls on Skyward Sword pretty bad?
I’ve heard that from a few sources – kind of puts me off playing it.

      • PrinceHeir

it’s not bad, but it can be tedious at times.

even the twilight princess was unresponsive at times.

        • AdamBoy64

          Thanks for the info man.

I can understand what you’re saying about Twilight Princess – I played the Wii version originally, and then picked it up on GameCube a few years later.

Oh man, the controls were so much better on GameCube. It was the far better experience.

Here’s hoping there won’t be too much motion control in the new Zelda.
