I gonna wait for PS Vita version

Er… The Vita version has been out, lol.

      • JuhRo

Yeah, it’s out.. and this iOS release isn’t in NA.. so.. confusion.

        • https://www.youtube.com/user/GamingHeroTetsuya TetsuyaHikari

As if anyone really expected a J-RPG to be localized in NA if it’s for Vita anyway :p

          • JuhRo

            I hear that. :/
Oh, LoH: Trails in the Flash… looks so good.

          • Anime10121

Well, the Vita does have Ys coming, though those games are really plot/text heavy (at least comparing to other rpgs)…

            • https://www.youtube.com/user/GamingHeroTetsuya TetsuyaHikari

Whoo~! So our total can be counted on two hands now? Our future is looking bright (not).

Good thing Vita is region free~

  • JuhRo

    Whaaa… Hahaha

    Remake of a remake.

    Well.. that’s cool I guess..
Still very much enjoyed the Vita version.. and glad they are using it to entertain a bigger mass of audience. :)

      *port of a remake

Someone DL it and tell us how it is. :3

      • JuhRo

        Right. Thanks.

I’d rather see them making a HD version of Hearts R and Innocent R and release them both in the west. Wishful thinking.

    • JuhRo

Why.. they look great on the Vita. Just about HD, since it’s above Standard Definition.

      • Anime10121

I think he means he wants an HD release as that is the only way they would ever see release in the west (being on consoles).

However, it still wont happen unfortunately, they are not gonna translate to full blooded JRPG’s and sell them at the $40 budget price of an HD remaster :(

        • http://www.yazuka.net/ Yazuka

Yes, that is exactly what I mean. And that would probably be the only way we would see them in the west. But yeah, it won’t happen.
If they by any chance should release the Vita versions in the west, I’ll be there day one.
          Just need a new Vita..

  • JuhRo

ToH R and DQ 1-8? iOS users are getting spoiled.

  • Yuri4prez

WTF?! Western Vita owners over here Namco…. Hello? Right here… Crap

    • Robbyfishersora

      I guess they forget us.

  • Blaz

Namco clearly doesn’t like western costumers…

    • Luna Kazemaru

dude you got fucking graces Xilla 1 and getting 2 what the fuck are you talking about?

      • Blaz

Oh i don’t know the time gaps between releases, games(not just tales but games that are published by namco) that they have a good amount of fan base but do not localize.
Previous entries that a would love to play and i can’t because i don know japanese, luckily for me i am now taking Japanese lessons and when i am confident enough ill play them in japanese and those North American and European Namco branches will not see a dime coming from me, they had their chances, and they always let down.

        • Luna Kazemaru

          good for you

      • Robbyfishersora

Don’t forget tales of symphonia HD ps3.

  • papermario

the version is broken and quite bad

  • http://twitter.com/RaiuLyn Raiu

I wonder how it actually plays on the mobile…. :/

    • Zackasaur

      Definitely not well. lol

    • Blaz

Its an real time acting game that requires a lot of inputs, im guessing its not that good.

    • TheExile285

Its probably gonna have some auto battle function >_>

  • hyuver

I remember Baba once said something along the line of “vita need to sell better before we could bring innocence and hearts to west because tales is not a system seller”

Who knows this is the compromise they took to bring the games to west. With thousand million of ios and android user surely they couldn’t past on the market :)

    *wishful thinking*

    • Carlos Luis Ayala

That would piss me off :-/

    • Zackasaur

I’d rather not have it at all. What we have right now is like being hungry. If they brought over the bad iOS port, it would be like being hungry and chained while some jerk waves pizza in front of your face.

    • AdamBoy64

Perhaps he better localise one on Vita… you know, just to be sure it won’t sell.

  • Zackasaur

    >_>

  • DarthBrian

    Just twist that knife, Namco.

    Just…twist that knife. T_T

  • bloodiOS

I’ll laugh if this is localized instead of the Vita version.

    • Yuri4prez

Well, I don’t think I would laugh, but I hear ya lol!

  • Elvick

    Stupid.

I can only imagine how horrible it controls. *shutter*

I guess quality doesn’t matter to developers anymore. Get dat $$$$$$ who cares if the game controls like poop!

  • Rogerrmark

The Vita version sold horribly there,so yeah…this version will probably work, somehow. Although the controls probably suck

  • fireemblembeast

You…you’ve got to be kidding me…
    =_=

    • TheBlackRabbit

there is nothing wrong with this, it is a good game. people who will want it will buy it. Why does it irk us so much even though we already have the game?
EDIT: was this localized?…or was that xillia?

      • fireemblembeast

That was Xillia for PS3. This was recently remade/ported to Vita but not localized

        • TheBlackRabbit

DAMN! that really sucks for people who want it in murica…..

  • Sai

How do you even play this with touchscreen only?
I’m loving the Vita version and battles sure are meant to be played with sticks.

    • 罪罰

      TOUCH HERE TO WIN

  • 罪罰

Sure, whatever. Everybody is porting games to iOS. Everybody is so anal devastated in here.

  • MasterSensei

I’m not someone who localises games but wouldn’t it be much easier and cheaper to just localise the text and not the voices since people always wants the Japanese voices anyway? If they could save money on localising maybe they would be more inclined to release the games overseas…

    • hyuver

I am not so sure about cheaper, since they still need to pay royalty for the Japanese VA if they want to use their voice for other region release, and in japan some VA is worshiped like idol their price could be higher than the one on west.

Beside I think it’s the rules of thumbs for company if they want to appeal general audience they must use the language that the mass understand. Even games with lots of japanese culture reference like Persona use English voice over. The recent release that have japanese audio beside the Gust release(atelier series) that came to mind is just that Capcom x Namco x Sega crossover,
