One minute of new footage.

This week’s Shin Gundam Musou gameplay videos show off Gundam SEED‘s Aegis Gundam and Gundam Unicorn‘s Geara Zulu (Angelo Sauper Use).

The PlayStation 3 and PS Vita game is due out on December 19 in Japan.

Looks better than the first gameplay but Shin Gundam Musou is a unnecesary Musou, with 2 “bah” musous and 1 bad musou (GM3) is enough.

I’m really not too sure what to think of Koei’s hack n’ slash anymore; albeit I haven’t played One Piece Musou 2, or many of their other new-new titles. I got a hold of DW8 for awhile, and just wasn’t all that… happy with it, I guess? I’d played and totally beaten 7, and it just sort of felt the same—at least from the beginning of it. It seems the games are lending themselves more towards the mechanics of Orochi now, too, so it just makes those games feel a little less special.

How can you call GM2 “bah” while GM3 was bad? The maps in GM2 were the laziest things to ever exist in a musou game and the friendship system was encouraged you to not play the game.

GM2 is like GM1 but with more content, GM3 is: Destroy everything created in GM1&2, and put 5 maps for everything and an horrible mission mode.

I’d argue that the increase in content, move lists, mobile suit count, and game mechanics are what lift GM2 above GM1, though. At the very least, certainly out of “bah” range.
