Become Marius Titus, a Roman soldier out for vengeance.

Microsoft and Crytek have released two new trailers for Ryse: Son of Rome, its upcoming Xbox One launch title set during the late Roman Empire.

The first trailer details the game’s story. Marius Titus is a soldier with great leadership, who returns home to find his family murdered. He sets off on a quest, gathering an army of loyal soldiers to fight by his side on his path to vengeance.

The second trailer tells the legend of Damocles, a Roman centurion betrayed and murdered at the hands of corrupt Roman generals, who returns from the underworld to seek vengeance.

Watch both clips below.

The funny thing is, that rome copied greek culture and now this games copies god of war

    • Guest

Which in turn copied DMC, if you wanna go down that route

      • Cry_Zero

Nope? DMC wasnt all about a warriors whos family got killed and now he seeks revenge?

        • @qwertiyque

Na, he is a copy/paste from scorpion (MK). What can be worst, be GoW is cool.

There’s a difference between this and God of War though. One guy found his family dead (which is reminiscent of Dante’s Inferno), while the other guy killed his family. But I digress.

A better comparison would be Shadow of Rome for PS2, which plays 10 times better than Ryse already.

      • DarthNemesis

DMC copied Castlevania if you want to go that routes routes. Also DMC is nothing like GOW combat or atmosphere wise.

        • 罪罰

Copied Castlevania? You mean the n64 games?

  • EX+

The gamespot player is way better than YT. YT player is so compressed. They need to make a new one. Looking at an actual 1080p screen will do the next-gen consoles justice.

So, there might be more than just killing human opponents. I might get this if the story is good.

That Damocles trailer was too sick. I love shorts with an awesome art style.
