The next Aliens game is called Aliens: Isolation and stars the daughter of big shot space officer Ellen Ripley, according to a Kotaku source.
In development at Creative Assembly and due out next year for current and next-gen consoles, the game is a first-perosn shooter with stealth and horror elements inspired by titles like Dishonored and BioShock, according to the report.
Sega apparently took the critical reception to Aliens: Colonial Marines very seriously, and set out to put together a better game with Isolation. It was originally supposed to debut at E3 in June, reports Kotaku, but its reveal was pushed back.
The majority of the game is said to be set in a single space station. There will be just one alien, for the most part, with players mostly combating clones and soldiers. Vents, lockers, and melee weapons will play a large role in the game, which is said to be heavily inspired by the first Alien movie.
Of course, as the game is still yet to be announced, don’t take any of this as official. The name is likely right, though, considering a trademark was recently filed and a domain was registered through Sega’s usual registrar months ago.
