Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes environment screenshots

Four shots show different locations and times.

Konami and Kojima Productions have released four new screenshots showcasing the environments of Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes.

The location and time zone of each image is different. They’re described by the developer as “photo-realistic,” with the graphics of a live-action film.

View the screenshots at the gallery. The game is coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360.

    While I’m not under any impressions that the game will run on current-gen at the same high performance it will on the PS4 and XB1, I hope that the game is at least playable and has a consistent frame rate. That is to say, I hope that Kojima Productions isn’t just crapping out a mediocre back-port just for the sake of sales like EA did with Battlefield 4.

    Is the MP map editor thing still being advertised for this game? (Rhetorical) Why hasn’t this game been announced for PC yet when nearly everything they’ve shown has been confirmed to be PC footage WHY KOJIMA T_T

    I’m both excited (Yay new MGS) and scared (They could screw with what I love from old MGS) for this title.

    Looks pretty bland.

    Sure, the graphics are great, but there’s no zazz. Shadow Moses and Big Shell are super stylish, this looks like something you’d come across in a Just Cause 3 map.

    Not quite there yet with the photo realism. Doesn’t look that much more impressive than Beyond or Battlefield 4…

        Are you trying to say B4 & Beyond weren’t going for realism?

          yes, human eye can not see for example glare effects and all staff like in B4. And in this screenshot i can say that its early morning by lights, you can not see this in B4

    This looks great and all but I’m afraid thiw won’t have a typical MGS feeling at all :/

      I think it’ll be an improvement on the typical MGS feel. It’s still stealth centric gameplay only on a much larger scale

        From what I’ve seen it looks like it is uncomfortably trying to both at once be something new and evolved (without feeling ‘gamey) and on the other hand trying to play like a PS2 game out of deference to the brand; it needs to decide.

        Gotta admit though, I’m not entirely sure what the ‘MGS feeling’ is. I remember getting into an almost Zen-like stealth mode in MGS3, maybe that is what is meant by that?

    These look like they were captured straight from the PS3/360 version of Ground Zeroes. They maybe even took these from the PS3 TGS build.

    Just watch the PS4 demo build and you will see how much better the environments, heck, the entire engine looks.

    If they would have taken some crazy uncompressed images from PC and release those to the public, people would be very impressed, but others would say they were bullshots.

    Is this one of those damned if they do, damned if they don’t situation? I’d say just watch some of the PS4 trailers for the game to see how good it looks.
