oh wow that’s a nice price

  • AuroraXIII

New Raiden game by Kojima Productions please.

    • Ferrick

as long as it’s a stealth game, they could do it, but if it’s another mgr style, then kojipro can’t do it

      • Nice Boat

Yeah, the problems with the original Solid Rising and issues with the third ZOE are kind of stopping them from trying fast games.

        • Ferrick

i do recall an interview where kojima says that his team was too inexperienced to bring mgr to the direction he wants it to, that’s why he used “called a friend” and thus in a short development cycle, came mgr through P* collab

      • AuroraXIII

Yeah, I’d like it to have predatory stealth.

        • KingKellogg The Waffle Haggler

with a story that isnt horrible

          • AuroraXIII

            Yup, exactly. Revengeance was shocking.

            • KingKellogg The Waffle Haggler

              It was just…bad

          • HeatPhoenix

it wasn’t MGS in MGSness but then again, it was very MGS-like

    • HeatPhoenix

      Gray fox!

  • DarthBrian

Any chance of us getting it with that super sexy box art? <3

Or will I have to import? :(

  • bloodiOS

I’d like to see a sequel for next-gen consoles, with the quality of in-game graphics being on the same level as cutscenes’ (or better.)

    • GhostNomad

Blade Mode with the power of next-gen consoles = <3

      • 罪罰

        oh god yes

      • Sevyne

And more Rules of Nature just because.

        • GhostNomad

Cannot give enough +1’s. I listen to that song on repeat while running!

    • 罪罰

More development time, more budget, more Kojima Productions involvement, Next Gen graphics, Next Gen Physics, Cut everything into tiny chunks, More combos, More skills, More weapons, Faster Gameplay.

      oh god wheres my wallet

      • Ferrick

don’t forget weapon switching on the fly, and more destructive environments, hell make it so that slash marks appear on the ground as raiden slashes it while in blade mode (and no, that cutscene where raiden stole jetstream’s bike doesn’t count)

        • 罪罰

          More enemies too, moar blood,

          • Ferrick

and change ripper mode into overdrive mode where raiden’s cybernetics go beyond limit and increase his battle capabilities, oh and moar swords

(i say change ripper mode because that mode kinda goes obsolete rather quickly, especially if you have god-of-blades fox blade)

      • bloodiOS

Regarding the next-gen graphics, I don’t think it really is needed. They can reuse the same engine, just need to make sure that the game is operating at native 1080p and all the assets are more or less preserved in their original quality, together with a good anti-aliasing solution and having the frame rate locked at 60fps and it’ll look just great. We don’t really need all the trivial, complicated next-gen’s eye-candies techs for Platinum Games’ products.

        • 罪罰

They’re never needed but come on, would be bluudy amazing if it looked as good or even better than MGSV :3

          • bloodiOS

Sure, but I rather they focus on optimizing for a smooth gameplay experience. As a matter of fact, I think all the features you and Ferrick listed in your wishlist are what their engine is already capable of, but have to be left out in order run properly on current-gen systems. It’ll be nice to see those features in the sequel but I just hope they don’t spend too much time and efforts looking into implementing additional trivial post-process effects.

            • 罪罰

Next gen is more focused on gameplay since developing is easier than ever. And its PG, that’s what they do best :)

              • bloodiOS

Definitely! But even then, there are still complicated techs within those systems that they need to think about. Like for example, instead of trying to figure how they should use those compute units to add extra layers of eye-candies, they can, instead, wholeheartedly dedicate them to the sole purpose of introducing much more advanced AI and physics calculation.

      • Gariya

Fox Engine not mentioned in your post is a crime.

        • 罪罰

PG uses their own engine bruh

          • Gariya

I know, but I recall Kojima mentioning he will allow PG to use Fox Engine in the sequel.

            • bloodiOS

Pretty sure he already allowed them to use it, with the original game already being powered by it and everything but PG chose to use their own game engine instead because it’s more comfortable for them to work with the set of tools that they’re used to.

        • bloodiOS

Platinum Games are more comfortable with using their own game engine. Otherwise, MGR:R would surely had been powered by the Fox Engine (not sure how it would’ve turned out in that scenario though…)

  • PrinceHeir

the US also had a Ultimate Edition which includes all the DLC missions as well as pre order armors!/en-us/games/metal-gear-rising-revengeance-ultimate-edition/cid=UP0101-NPUB31057_00-MGRBUNDLE0000001

shame this is only Digital and it’s pricey as hell(it was 50$ during a PS+ only sale a few months back)

I was tempted to get this edition seeing i didn’t get the White Armor edition, but i’ll wait and see if they would bring a similar edition like this outside of Japan.

would also love a JPN Voice option as well!!

    • bloodiOS

Another problem with the Ultimate Edition is to act of downloading ~24GB of data.

  • César H. Sandoval

Maybe they finally will release the Grey Fox DLC skin to the public buyers! :|

  • LunarHaven

I wouldn’t mind if they sacrificed graphical power in exchange for a longer experience with more weapons for the sequel. Of course most shallow individuals would hack it for not being SUPER MEGA DETAILED, because that is what makes a game good right? *facepalm*

  • Sae-Won Yoon

    I just want an english version of the “Bokuto” DLC that has snakes voice ;_;

Pity David Hayter wont do that, (PC version maybe?)

    • HeatPhoenix

didnt you hear kojima said david hayter is dead metal gear is over

  • EspadaKiller

5th of December? Hell yeah I will be in Japan in Dec so I will be soooo getting this! That’s such a sexy box art!

  • natalieyan

    • Bobby Jennings

      D: im jealous..

  • Hidayat246

  • Josuemental
