WHAAAA? Successful week for 3ds and Vita. Pokemon gone beserk in sales, seems like people like the new vita model

    • Leon_Tekashi

Looks like it. Now we wait for Sony of America to announce localization for the Vita TV and 2000.

    • Nick Pantazis

Apparently people care more about it being 20% smaller than having a great screen. I find it very weird, when both models are the same price. The Vita’s current size is not too large to me, and I definitely prefer the OLED on my original Vita to the LCD screen on the 2000, despite the marketing crap Sony is feeding people by telling them LCD is just as good now.

  • Raiyu

    Great sales for Vita/3DS

Wii U…not so much. I’m kinda surprised GTAV sold so well in Japan

  • McPoo

Wow, massive spike for Vita and 3DS.

What’s the next game that’ll shift consoles for the Wii U?

  • G.

Dat Pokemon and dat Vita 2000. Japan loves handhelds.

  • AdachiTohru

    Great vita sales ! :D

  • Xaltmas

    Vita LIVES!

    • jujubee88

      Sen No Kesiki lives!

SEriously though, concern yourselves more about the good content on VITA. The hardware will be fine.

    MH 1.7m and pokemon 1.8m
    so close..
    let’s see pokemon’s 2nd week

  • Anime10121

Well, well, surprises did happen this week! GTA did MUCH better than I thought (I was thinking more around early 200K), and so did Fairy Fencer F (about a 60% increase over the last two Neptunia titles). I also forgot Tales Remaster released this week which ALSO did exceptionally well for a remake (sold more than the MGS HD Collection on first week)!

Did Japan get some sort of stimulus package or something? Alls i see are sales going up, Up, UP :D

  • bldudas

Wow, Pokemon, 3DS and Vita all did great! Was not expecting to see Grand Theft Auto V selling so much.

  • EspadaKiller

Pokemon sales is so crazyyyyyyyyyyyy! Very awesome GTA V sales though!

  • TheExile285

I was wondering why Vita sales were so high during Poke-week and I remembered it because of the new Vita models. Very glad Dagan Ronpa did well and FFF didn’t bomb.

Pokemon basically did what I was expecting. GTAV sales are pretty damn good.

The wallets in Japan must be bleeding.

    • Renaldi Saputra

I think the vita sales has a connection within danganronpa..
glad FFF survived the killer effects,,

  • DesmaX

    Whoa, congrats for GTA V!

    Fairly good week, overall

  • Mugen555

To be Honest, i have lower expectation for vita 2000 since it was released at same time with pokemon.

  • FitzpatrickPhillips

Good job on Fairy Fencer. Easily my biggest surprise this year. Its so good. I thought it was gonna suck.

  • Zero

I think some of those other games in the top 10 would have done better if the competition wasn’t so tight. We have the same problems in the west. A bunch of good games all coming out around the same time.

Overall, solid week for both Sony and Nintendo.

  • artemisthemp

Not a huge surprise to see Pokemon outsell everything in Japan

  • Elvick

Been a long time since a 360 game came up on here.

  • Eclipse

Nice, it seems Fairy Fencer F did quite well for CH.

  • Xenovelgr

thank god the lazy cash grab symphonia “remaster” only sold 70k. we really need to stop rewarding namco’s laziness, or else they’ll keep ruining the once great tales series like they have been for the last 3 years

    • $18114340

What was so lazy about it? Was it as bad as the Silent Hill collection or something?

  • Mark

    Wow on Vita Sales!

    • Kazriko Redclaw

First week of new models. Good sales. :)

  • Willgaea

I hear a lot of people having a game breaking bug in Pokemon X/Y. Be careful out there.
