    pokemon & MH still kill!!!!

that Saint Seiya sales, it’s become MH & Pokemon’s victim

  • shogunknight

Aww, just needed one more human to reach 3000 for WiiU. Anything new coming for WiiU in japan? The numbers are getting quite worrisome at the moment

    • Lavos

I heard some bundles were coming out, but I’m not so sure.

      • shogunknight

Oh, i think the Wii U Party/Wii Fit U/Mario Wii U Bundle. Yes, it may help boost sales for the holidays

        • Lavos

It may just end up like the vita. It was selling like 3k before the new model. Although WiiU will really pick up on november, with Mario 3D World.

  • gerald

Nice to see Vita right up there behind the 3DS behemoth. It’s such a great gaming device but being in Nintendo’s portable shadow is tough. I’m hoping by next year the PS4 will bring in a lot of new owners and more dev support will follow.

They still have some titles for the holidays

10/24 – Pawapuro Baseball 2013, Samurai Warriors 2 + Extreme Legends HD, Samurai Warriors 2 Empires HD
10/31 – Neptunia Rebirth, Gundam Breaker, Gundam Breaker Bundle
      11/7 – Akiba’s Trip 2, Extetra
11/14 – God Eater 2, God Eater Bundle, Vita TV
      11/21 – Shin Atelier Rorona
11/28 – Dynasty Warriors 8 Extreme Legends, Criminal Girls Invitation
      12/5 – Tearaway, Batman Blackgate
12/19 – Shin Gundam Musou, Madoka Magika Battle Pentagram
      12/26 – Final Fantasy X HD, Final Fantasy X-2 HD , FFX|X-2 Bundle

Something new for almost every week. This may keep the sales steady for a while, i hope the Mario/PartyU/FitU bundle does the same for WiiU

If only it got this sort of treatment in the western regions..
Although.. Blackgate, Injustice, Tearaway, Ys, and Terraria all seem to be next to one another in release date estimates.

    • Sevyne

Yeah, although Vita had a big drop compared to last week’s 60,000. However it’s still higher than it was before that AND I’d imagine that the Vita TV coming up means others are now holding out for that too. Should be really interesting seeing the Vita TV’s debut on the market. I’m hopeful that it’ll do alright. :)

Also, as shogunknight said; The holiday line-up looks very promising for Japan.

  • TheExile285

Jeez, 3DS is unstoppable in Japan.

    • Sevyne

It is pretty crazy. You’d think that everyone in Japan owns like 5 3DS’ by now, yet it keeps selling like mad.

      • TheExile285

I wonder what sales are gonna look like when PS4 launches. 3DS will obviously still be selling well but will it be owning the nation like it does now?

        • Sevyne

Good question. I’d assume that for at least the launch week that PS4 will be the top seller due to the large amount of pre-orders, but after that is where it gets pretty unpredictable. The Vita could possibly see a spike in sales for a few weeks at that time too. Ya really never know with Japan lol.

        • Nick Pantazis

Probably after the PS4’s launch week yes. The PS4 is not a very Japanese focused console. None of the launch games are Japanese developed or even published (ironically the Xbox One has Dead Rising 3 from Capcom). It’s not even launching until February in Japan. Instead Sony elected to release the Vita TV this year. Japan is not really big on home consoles, and Sony isn’t banking on them doing well over there. So yeah, I suspect the 3DS will continue to rule the sales charts for the duration of the generation.

        • adhesive

Sony has made it clear that their consoles are for western gamers first and foremost, and both the JP release date and the games coming out for it show that. Their stance is completely understandable, seeing as how Japan hasn’t really cared for any console sans the Wii since the DS came out.
