Survival horror title could come to Sony's next-gen console.

Frictional Games, which just announced its new sci-fi horror title SOMA for PlayStation 4 and PC, is “looking into” bringing Amnesia: The Dark Descent to PlayStation 4.

“We are looking into Amnesia on the PS4,” studio creative director Thomas Grip said in response to a fan on the PlayStation Blog. “Cannot promise anything though.”

Amnesia: The Dark Descent originally launched for PC in September 2010. An indirect sequel called Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs, developed by The Chinese Room, was released last month.

Haven’t had the pleasure to play ‘Amnesia’, or ‘Machine For Pigs’ since I just have a netbook for school and don’t plan on paying out the butt for a PC but plan on getting a PS4.
I’ve watched my friend play ‘Amnesia’, pretty hilarious reactions xD

“Looking into” basically means it’s gonna happen, just can’t officially say in what form (direct port, different content, etc), otherwise he wouldn’t have said anything at all.

Bring it!! I would love to get some horror games on the PS4, and these guys are supposed to be some of the best in the genre.

Where’s the fun in playing a horror game on the big screen though? Nothing beats having the monitor 2 feet away from you with a nice pair of headphones

    • Budgiecat

      no friends huh lol

I don’t know, playing on the big screen within a dark room with high quality surround sound system is a pretty immersive experience.

You can sit two feet away from your big screen with a nice pair of headphones too…

    • Marco Tinè

      Valve would disagree with this.

looking up from a beanbag in front of my 50″ is like being in a movie theatre.. with the lights out… dammit now I’m scared.

Except maybe sitting in a recliner 5 feet from a 51″ plasma in the dark while wearing 7.1 headphones. ;-)

Yes! Please come to the big screen. I love horror games on a big screen TV.
