Has anything ever gotten a bad Famitsu score?

  • bloodiOS

I wonder if it’ll have any impact on Xbox 360’s hardware sales in Japan.

    • Gabriel Lage Pessoa

    • DrForbidden

Well, it’s also available for PS3, so I’m gonna go with ‘no’.

      • bloodiOS

I wonder if there’s going to be a significant increase in sales for the PS3 then.

        • DesmaX

Well, The Last of Us did well there, I believe

          • Gigus

It did fairly well (38). Im actually surprised alotta Japanese folk are still playing multiplayer. Wht pisses me off about the game is I see a ton of level 100 and above players. How is that freaking possible?! What pisses me off more is that these high level players are accusing me of cheating because im a level 20 player when I win.

    • GhostNomad

Unless the 360 version had some obvious and well-known superiority that was exactly what the Japanese audience wanted, I highly doubt that’d be the case.

    • Zackasaur

It won’t give the 360 a big boost (maybe a very tiny one, but the 360’s sales numbers already border on irrelevant in Japan).

However, they will buy GTAV on the PS3… And it will get a more relevant, but still slight, boost. I’d think most Japanese gamers who care about GTAV (a sort of niche already) would have a PS3 at this point for some other western game. But, yeah, it will do pretty decently and will surely sell a few extra consoles.

  • Gigus

Wow, im actually surprised they gave (another….. cant remember) western game a perfect score.

  • TheExile285

    Damn, they gave Ragna’s VN a pretty low score ;_;

EDIT: FFF got a good score though so nice!

Over 75% average seems pretty good to me. I wouldn’t be too put off yet. :)

  • DesmaX

    Daaaamn, even on Famitsu.

    Not surprisingly, though

  • Eclipse

Nice, I’m glad that Fairy Fencer F got a pretty good score.

  • kandori

Famitsu just loves to throw those 40s around nowadays, huh?

    • Dasher1572

Well Grand Theft Auto deserves it.

        This made my morning, lol.

        • McPoo

          How come, chum?

          • Xaltmas

There is no way a game made by baka gaijins could possibly be good. All the best games are made in glorious Nippon!

Grand Theft Auto 5 is only the biggest media release in history because of filthy casuals who don’t appreciate superior games like Fairy Fencer F.

            • McPoo

              Haha :)

            • Altin

The Game is good, but clearly far from perfect. You don’t have to be that pretentious jackass to see the obvious flaws here.

    • Hidayat246

      Money is talk

  • zazza345

Eh, FFF got 32 and not 33, just by adding numbers..

  • http://www.santashi.com/ Santashi

I hadn’t realised some of these were so close to release!

Did Famitsu review Furuiro Meikyuu Rondo at all? I don’t think I have seen a score for it yet.

  • almostautumn

I’ll keep a skeptical eye on FFF, particularly because Fami gave neptune Victory a 30/40, which there is no way it deserved, nor did the first two earn those high 20 scores—.
I know FFF isn’t a Neptune title, but it sure looks too similar in all the wrong places (gameplay).
