Mix-and-match costumes and accessories between characters, too.

This week’s Onechanbara Z: Kagura With NoNoNo! screenshots show the game’s costume change system and blood color change functionality.

Players will be able to mix and match costumes and accessories between characters. Saaya can wear Kagura’s outfits, or Kagura can wear NoNoNo’s outfits, etc. You can make Kagura and Saaya wear NoNoNo’s maid outfit, if you’d like.

Additionally, for those who dislike blood, you’ll be able to change the color of blood from red to black or white.

Onechanbara Z: Kagura With NoNoNo! is due out for PlayStation 3 in Japan on November 7. View the screenshots at the gallery.

Don’t like blood? Don’t worry, you can replace it with sticky white stuff =D

    • TetsuyaHikari

Eh, this isn’t surprising, really. Japan does this a lot. In fact… This blood pattern REALLY reminds me of Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance. It was white in the JP version (excluding a handful of cutscenes).

      • bloodiOS

I’m just joking there (even gone as far as using the term “sticky white stuff” from Demon’s Souls.) Just thought it looks funny with all the white blood surrounding Nonono.

        • GhostNomad

Yeah, that image reminds me of some of the stranger sites on the internet >.> First thing that came to my mind when I saw the thumbnail for the article. Don’t know if that was intended or the internet has tainted my mind, but either way :D

        • TetsuyaHikari

Well, considering the game is simply fanservice with action attached to it… I think you can guess as to why they made it look that way in that particular screenshot. It doesn’t help that there are males around her in the picture too.

          Yay for innuendos.

ehm, the blood of cyborgs being white actually HAS explanation in MGS lore, it’s just that westerners are stupid, and wanted red blood, so their blood in western versions is red.
And those “handful” of scenes in MGR with red blood actually had HUMANS killed, no cyborgs.

        • Warboss Aohd

way ta characterize an’ entire hemisphere o’ da planet as stupid.

          • kurosan9712

But it’s not wrong, isn’t it? If the color of cyborg’s blood is defined by the game world’s lore, changing it IS stupid, and it was done because people in the west would think that white blood is strange, so that makes THEM stupid.
I see that as logical, mind you. Haters gonna hate, yeah.

            • Warboss Aohd

i wasn’t saying you were wrong about it, i was calling you out on insulting millions of people because of a few people whining.

        • TetsuyaHikari

That may be, but it’s no reason to call Westerners “stupid”. By that logic, Japan is stupid for making ninjas turn into purple mist in Ninja Gaiden rather than showing blood when their heads are chopped off. Point is… This isn’t the first time censorship has taken place in a video game from Japan.

Granted, this time it’s just an optional choice (i.e. Turok), but still… Western games pretty much ALWAYS have red blood for enemies, regardless of the lore for the game.

          • kurosan9712

That’s not exactly japanese, but censors. Censors aren’t people, lol.

            • TetsuyaHikari

^ implying Japanese and censors are different things

              • kurosan9712

Well, technicallly speaking – yes. Different.
censors have no nation, they are mad, ill people, and their only wish is to censor everything into a totall mess, with fake intention to “protect kids from shocking material”, but for Japan it’d be “protect nation’s youth from shocking material”, they don’t say kids specifically, everything under 18(or 20, don’t remember) is called just “youth”.
Well, jokes aside, most of the censorship Japan does now isn’t their idea originally. If someone…*cough**cough* US *cough* wouldn’t interfere, they would have probably only implemented censorship for H-games only in around 2007, instead of a lot earlier. Gore…maybe a bit earlier than that.

tbh i wish Revengenace had a blood color option.

White Blood DOES makes sense on the game, especially fitted with tons of nanomachines and other stuff on each part.

the red blood didn’t make sense AT ALL other than to make it cool.

i do hope they add the feature in the near future.

          same with Deus Ex ^^

  • Charlie

    Oh, Japan!

  • Warboss Aohd

Saaya: Wait, why do i have to do to get stronger?

Guardian of Metal/Ozzy Osbourne: Please the ****in’ Gods of Metal man.
Saaya: alright, soon i’ll return, covered in ‘Metal God Love’
    Guardian of Metal: Oh God.

dat iz wot came ta mind………maybe one day we shall get Brutal Legend 2.

  • hush404

Bahahaha. Of course they’d make an option to have white fluid replace blood. XD

  • Karl Josef

    S..s…s….white blood O_o

  • PrinceHeir
