Official Japanese website launched.

Strider will be playable at the Tokyo Game Show in Chiba later this month, Capcom has announced.

The company opened the game’s official Japanese website tonight, confirming it for a 2014 release across PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, and PC in Japan under the name Strider Hiryu.

Strider was first announced at Comic-Con in July, and is currently in development at Double Helix Games.

      Bionic Commando
      Dead Rising 2
      Resident Evil Operation Raccoon City
      Lost Planet 3
      Final Fight Streetwise
First person shooter Megaman concept game

      Dat Capcom outsourced track record….

        Dead Rising 2 was bad?

      • Zackasaur

I don’t think all of those are bad games. lol

I don’t support Capcom’s business practices (and history of sexual abuse), though.

DmC had awesome gameplay. Just shouldn’t of been called dmc and had it’s own series. Would of been a lot less hate.

It’s gameplay was good enough, did NOT feel like DMC gameplay tho.

DmC is a phenomenal action-game that was universally praised critically— the hate is totally, and completely, unjust and dull.
Dead Rising 2 is great. I agree its missing the intrigue and weird that made the original DR so much fun, but it’s certainly not a bad game by any means.
Lost Planet 3 is being chaffed as ‘losing what makes LP a series.’ Truth is, everything taken out in LP3 was also taken out in E.X. Troopers; there is no grappling hook, mech freedom, or reliance on T-ENG in e.x. troopers either. And really, when you boil it down, LP3 is a TPS that not only works, but boasts the unique setting of alien bug monsters, winter conditions, and a compassionate story that ties the familiar together in a more meaningful way. It’s a good game, dude; give it a shot.

So yeah— I mean, I don’t like what Capcom is doing neither; I like Japanese developed games because they offer something you don’t get from western artisitic sensibilities. But at the same time, to judge these outsourced games not as a fan but as a critic— they’re genuinely good games mostly, and warrant more respect than they’ve been given.

I’d agree, but they did have two standouts, Bionic Commando Rearmed which was good and Ducktales, which was great!

Clearly exceptions though and not the rule :P

        DmC is great

  • Arcana Gear

great, i’m very interested on this title.

I hope this game is longer than Strider 2. The prequel to this game was fun but too short:(
