Comcept and Inti Creates have debuted the first in-engine footage of Mighty No. 9.
The game is powered by Unreal Engine technology. The footage itself is actually a “super-rough engine test.” The team says “the game will not necessarily look like this video, move like this video, or act lie this video,” and that “this is a completely rough test only, made in literally one week, using all placeholder assets and animation just to test how parts of the engine work.”
Furthermore, they add, “Someday we will look back on this and laugh at how primitive it looks, but for now, for only one week of test work.”
In other Mighty No. 9-related news, Comcept has signed on Mega Man 2 composer Takashi Tateishi. The game’s Kickstarter is currently at $3.03 million in funding, and less than $300,000 away from its PlayStation 4 and Xbox One goals, with 34 hours left until the campaign ends.
