In other news: Constant C announced for Xbox LIVE Arcade.

Makoto Asada, who left his position as game development head at Cave in June, has joined Mages to work on an unannounced Xbox One title, the company announced.

The game, which is listed as a packaged title, is still to be dated and priced, though details are promised to be revealed in the near future.

Additionally, Mages announced the development of a new 2D action puzzle gravity manipulation game for Xbox LIVE Arcade called Constant C. As a rescue robot, players must summon the bravery and wisdom required to prevent an unknown calamity from striking the space station, where time stands still.

Watch the debut trailer below. The game’s due out in early 2014.

Thanks, Dengeki.

I’m sure it’s an exciting visual novel taking no effort to maximize the hardware potential of the XBox One to a Japanese only userbase that I can count on one hand…

This game looks neat and I am getting an xb1 but…I hope if we do get some Japanese games we get a successor to lost odyssey. That would be beast.

Mistwalker hasn’t worked with MS again since LO, so I’m doubtful of the chances. Would be nice though. One of my favorite games of the gen.

Last thing they made was…the last story lol. Haven’t heard from them in forever for anything.

        • Solomon_Kano

Prior to The Last Story, but still after Lost Odyssey, they did Blue Dragon Plus, Away: Shuffle Dungeon, and Blue Dragon: Awakened Shadow for DS. After The Last Story they did Party Wave and Blade Guardian for smartphones.

Doesn’t look like they intend to work with MS again.

Heck idc if they join sony, Nintendo, or xbox. I just want more jrpgs by them.

            • Solomon_Kano

I feel the same, but since the topic was LO, it would likely have to be with MS unless the IP is theirs.

The Gooch wasn’t exactly pleased with his relations with M$ nor in hindsight did he think making an old school turn based rpg was the best route. Hence his shift to Nintendo and The Last Story…

Kinda wish he would get over his grudge with Sony (since Kutaragi has been gone for like forever now) and consider working with them….

We barely got The Last Story over to the West without insane port begging from Project Rainfall since Nintendo could care less, and I dont see M$’s XBox 1 taking off in Japan and lord knows the situation with shootercentric XBots opinions on JRPG’s have only gotten worse, so I see Sony being the best home for him and his games really…

    Shikura will never learn…

This is pretty interesting news seen as Xbox is selling pretty bad in Japan.

So anyone have a idea? and will we see it in the West?

  • りんごタルト@エスカのアトリエ

MAGES is so hipster. Shikura should stop pushing the Xbone.
