Imas Channel announced for PlayStation 3
Free-to-download Idolmaster due out by end of 2013 in Japan.A free-to-download Idolmaster game called Imas Channel (Idolmaster Channel) is in development for PlayStation 3, this week’s issue of Famitsu reveals.
The core game will be free, and paid content will be added at weekly and bi-weekly intervals. Two titles are planned to be delivered through Imas Channel simultaneously at launch. They are:
- Idolmaster Shiny TV – A remake of the PSP games in high-definition. Shiny TV viewing privileges and six songs will come in a set. Each of the 13 idols gets their own content pack for 1,500 yen.
- Idolmaster Gravure For You! – Return of the gravure shooting game initially sold in Blu-ray sets. Volume 1 will cost 300 yen. Volumes 2 to 9 will cost 1,500 yen.
Two more titles are planned to be delivered in spring next year. New content is planned for 2015, with a packaged version, as well.
Imas Channel will launch by the end of 2013.
