Latest video compares PS Vita game to original PS3 version.

The Tokyo Game Show trailer for Hyperdimension Neptunia Re; Birth 1 compares the upcoming PS Vita game to the original PlayStation 3 version.

The PS Vita remake offers remodeled event graphics, quicker field movement, the ability to jump, and more. It’s due out on October 31 in Japan.

Watch the trailer below.

Looks nice, hope this gets localized, as I’ve heard the first game isn’t so great compared to the others. This remake should fix it.

They’re better in term of story and is funnier. But the gameplay is bad.

Hoping that’s the case also. I didn’t mind MK2 (the Neptunia series isn’t too good in gameplay overall), but the first Neptune is borderline unplayable unless you literally don’t care at all about strictly garbage gameplay. I gave it the fair shot as I give all RPG’s; 5 hours. When the gameplay was still awful there, I said screw it and moved on. Wanted to like it, but nothing about the game seemed to justify playing what is so strictly awful.

Eventually battles looked like still images to me coz I was hammering/holding the animation skip button. I press an attack button and numbers just fly outta monsters and they die. It was quite a barebones battle system. I thank God for the animation skip button….

I’d only buy a localized version of this if it had a retail release. I have zero memory left on my 32 Gb card. I hope they hurry up with the 64Gb card and I hope it has an easy data transfer system.

    • Zackasaur

PS Vita data transfer is always easy.

    • Elvick

Think of how I feel with my 4GB.

      • Kobracon

So much this…..god why do they have to be so expensive TT_TT

      • almostautumn

Same dude. But I guess that Sony’s idea of making a struggling platform succeed is mandating that a required item that most feel should be included at at least 16gb (as they did with the Go) is make it disgustingly costly and unreasonable in that it does nothing more than alienate consumers— because that’s super reasonable.

Seriously, even as a dedicated Sony user, I won’t be buying the 32 or mucking around with space on my card beyond the must-haves until I can get the things for $30 or less. It’s ridiculous that they expect anyone to pay the prices they charge, and for me, even as a downright hardcore gamer, i literally laugh and say ‘Well you screwed yourself’ instead of obliging their absurd payment requirements. They’re hurting themselves on this one; the consumer is in no way faulted for not supporting so ridiculous a price-tag.

Graphics look better on VITA than PS3. Kinda rare when that happens.

CH came a long way. Hopefully this succeeds and hopefully this connects to MK2.

The changes are really looking fantastic.

I’m looking forward to finally getting the other endings.

Looking forward to Neptune’s original Humor. Plus Iffy and Compa will be regular playable characters again(Victory why you made me suffer with their loli versions as Dlc). Another plus the Quests won’t force you to stay in the Dungeon when you need to get something. Even though I did kinda like how Iffy, Compa, and Neptune were able to use guns. My best person to shoot enemies with was Compa, her syringe gun just took more damage. Then finally that old combo system was a pain to use since it was the way to use sp skills and HDD transform.

Suddenly felt very cheated for buying the original game…

  • Kobracon

Those are some nice graphical improvements
