RPG's main character and Fencer.

The latest trailer for Fairy Fencer F highlights main character Fang.

The clip shows conversation scenes (some shirtless), battles, and victory screens.

Watch the trailer below. The Compile Heart-developed PlayStation 3 RPG and first in its series of Galapagos RPG games is due out on October 10 in Japan.

    We need a demo.

    wow, looks nice

Well according to his name he’s quite the catch. He, he.. ah forget it, stupid joke. Language barrier all around.

Well the game looks really nice so far, a bit colorful, that UI seems like we’re going on one hell of a ride. Hopefully it’ll be localized and many people will buy it, especially since RPG’s are mostly underrated against certain games here, which is truly a shame.

    • Alkhan

True. RPGs are very under appreciated here. Look at where Tales Of Xillia is on the PSN August sales chart. (This doesn’t include retail which I’m almost sure it has sold over 100k within August)

Well, ToX is still in the Top 10 on GameFaqs most popular games (It’s been there for some weeks, I guess. I’ve been using the Sub-Events guide)

      • http://lukalovesgames.blogspot.de/ Alkaid

Seeing this makes me wanna bite in the back of my hand. I like PAYDAY, Journey, Dragon’s Crown, SaintsRow, Farcry and GTA but seeing Xillia so far to the bottom … *sigh*
The PS3 addons category is even more worrisome. :/

    • DesmaX

Well, Western games tend to do poorly in Japan too (Just look at that SC: Blacklist sales this week), so I guess it’s more like cultural preferences

      • Budgiecat

More like xenophobia on both sides….

      • http://lukalovesgames.blogspot.de/ Alkaid

Which kind of makes it all the more sad, both sides have great potential. There were many games over the years that brought us tons of fun.

Yakuza is pretty westernized in terms of gameplay, yet most people don’t even know it or tend to ignore it here.

    No nipples…no nipples!! Wtf?
    Do bishies evolve without them?

    • bloodiOS

      Nope they’re just detachable.

    • DyLaN

I think its some sort of censorship or just artstyle preference. The bishies of Majestic Prince anime have nipples.

Then again females don’t usually have nipples too in these sort of media.

  • talesoffan

    Looking good.

  • マッシュー

Kyari’s battle grunt is the reason I keep replaying this. Hnnng.

  • shogunknight

This guy is on constant hype

  • Zackasaur

    Hm, I am very curious!

  • fyi1191

    He reminds me of Tidus.
And Fang’s special move, Satsugeki Bukouken?!!!

  • Budgiecat

    Hey my name is Fang
    Hey my name is Yuri

Hey my name is…..wait *goes into generic JRPG hero name generator*

    • Oscar Alberto Abrego Suarez

Yeah you would think with big names like Amano and Nobuo this game would had been a new kind of game from compile heart.

Instead we get like what i anticipate is a lame harem like setting, were Fang is dump and annoying and somehow the girls find those traits appealing.

This looks more like a Neptunia spinoff than a new game althogueter, it seems Galapagos project is just much more generic animu crap.

  • Willgaea

Who else thought of Sword art when they started switching attacks. Fang, switch!

I want to join his partedah.

  • Derpazu

    Dat fps…

  • Bec66

So what have we learned from this trailer?
1.Compile Heart is also adding in man service for the ladies
2.The main character Fang is a distant relative of Captain Falcon
    Also the combat looks fun.

  • DriftSlave

Compile Heart is getting better with every game…The animations look good . I pray for a localization.
