Lionhead needs more time to meet ambitions.

Fable Anniversary, Lionhead’s Unreal Engine 3-based Fable remake for Xbox 360 originally scheduled to launch this year, has been delayed to February 2014.

“We’ve been working hard for the past year to bring you the very best Fable Anniversary experience on Xbox 360,” lead designer Ted Timmins said on Lionhead’s blog. “We feel though, that we need a little more time in order to meet our ambitions and give you, the fans, the best game possible.

“I know I speak for everyone at Lionhead when I say that we can’t wait for you to see what we’ve been up to, and it gives us great pleasure to let you know that you can expect Fable Anniversary to be both on-shelves and online via the Xbox Games Store in February 2014.”

I wish this was coming to the Xbox One. I love the first Fable.

    Ah well.

Well, since this is going to be a 1080p game anyway, I guess they just don’t see the point?

Well, that would suck :/. Fable 1 was one of my favorite games, because of the freedom, charm, and music. I was hoping it would make it to the Xbox One.

There are other games coming out for the X1/PS4. So I’ll be pretty busy with those.
