Deep Down, Capcom‘s February-announced PlayStation 4 RPG, is set in New York 2094 and stars a hero with the ability to read memories from legacies of the past.
Capcom producer Yoshinori Ono showed the first live gameplay of the title during SCEJA Press Conference 2013 in Japan today.
The online-only game is a PlayStation 4-exclusive, with SCE Japan Studio engineers assisting development. It features randomly-generated dungeons, monsters, weapons, and defense equipment, and gameplay reminiscent of Demon’s Souls.
Multiplayer gameplay highlighted during the press conference showed three players fighting a dragon.
Ono said he would like to announce something about the start of the game’s beta services before PlayStation 4’s February 22 launch in Japan.
Watch a new trailer and the debut gameplay below. If you’re at the Tokyo Game Show next week, the game will be playable for the first time on the show floor.
