Pay nothing for next-gen action RPG.

Deep Down, Capcom’s upcoming PlayStation 4 online action RPG, will be a free-to-play game, the publisher announced at the Tokyo Game Show today.

A beta for the game is scheduled to begin around the February 22 launch of PlayStation 4 in Japan, Sony Worldwide Studios boss Shuhei Yoshida tweeted.

If you missed yesterday’s Tokyo Game Show trailer, catch it here. For more information, we have a play test report on the playable show floor demo, an an translated interview with the producer.

Thanks, 4Gamer.net.

  • papermario

The shoe has dropped. I wasnt really interested in this. Now I will just get dark souls II

  • captainhowdy

Oh god, Capcom you were doing so good.

I’ll keep in open mind until I hear how this works. If it’s like Killer Instinct, than I could careless about Free to Play.

    • Alkhan

Did you mean you “couldn’t care less”? Not “could careless”..

      • captainhowdy

Yes! That’s what I meant lol. I posted that a little sleepy.

        Thank you :).

        • Alkhan

          No problem ;)

  • Elvick

Can’t imagine this will help hype people up for the game.

  • Xaltmas

Yeah…F2P is going to turn a lot of people off.

    I’ll still try it though.

    • Arcana Gear

yeah, what you lose, if you hate it, you can speak bad things with knowledge and back up for your claim, and it’s free!

  • DesmaX

Sweet. Really want to see more games like Warframe (F2P online with Random Maps)

  • Tristan Diaz

    Will try regardless.

  • Sevyne

Oh man….My excitement level for this game just dropped by a lot. It’s not completely lost, but now I’m really afraid this is going to be riddled with pay to win micro-transactioning and boatloads of overpriced DLC. Please prove me wrong Capcom because I want to be excited for this game, but damnit you’re Capcom…You’re killin me here.

    • Arcana Gear

…. i REALLY hate to be a downer but you remember Capcom interview? “more focus in DLC since the planning of the game to the release” this fits here pretty well.
BUT maybe even with that it will be a great game! see my post above.

      • Sevyne

Yeah, and that interview is what I’m afraid of here. I guess we’ll see when the time comes, but I’m going to remain cautious until then. At the very least, I can try it out without having to waste money.

        • Arcana Gear

yes that interview and this announcement combine pretty well…. gonna try to be neutral and try it… later i’ll post my toughts on it.

  • MrRobbyM

    *drops mic*

    *walks away*

    *booing ensues*

That’s pretty much what just happened.

    • Sevyne

Reverse mic drop. Mic jumps off floor, hits them in face.

      • MrRobbyM

*trips over mic, starts farting uncontrollably, the farts start sounding like they’re saying something, “ON DISC DLC ON DISC DLC ULTIMATE VERSION”*

        • Sevyne

          lol

        • TheBlackRabbit

          what the hell? lol i don’t even….

  • Arcana Gear

Well probably will have DLC and transactions, BUT i think that maybe it can be good, i mean they are in the red! they are counting with this! so they must be confident… or almost confident, summing up this have to be ggod for capcom future so think they are more cautious now.

  • Xaltmas

I’d be more inclined to trust Ono and Capcom but, you know.

    I’m a Darkstalkers fan.

    • Arcana Gear

…… it still hurts…. it still hurts so much, never the phrase didn’t reach sales expectations from capcom hurt me so much like that interview.

      • Xaltmas

Sometimes I watch that CG trailer from NYCC while curled up in bed. And then I have a little cry.

But I do try to think about the positives that Capcom does! Like Devil May…wait…

        • Arcana Gear

…….. dont make me remember it! but i think they at least have some franchises tha they didn’t reboot like onimusha and mega… wow…. *cries*

    • Sae-Won Yoon

Remember the t-shirt that kid was wearing in the SF X TK Vita 2nd trailer?

      Pepperidge Farm fucking remembers.

      • HeatPhoenix

Y-you!? Get back to UWW.Our containment board.

        • Sae-Won Yoon

          Ehhhhh~, well isn’t this a surprise.

  • りんごタルト@エスカのアトリエ

It’s like Sony is giving away video games!

    • Zackasaur

      Literally!

  • 罪罰

And there goes any hope or expectation I had for this game whatsoever.

    • Arcana Gear

well trying to be optimistc, capcom NEED to this game be good, they ar ebetting on it, so maybe they did a good game? i dont know, only time will tell.

      • 罪罰

        POSITIVE THINKING!
I guess you’re right, I get a little harsh with Capcom, but they ask for it.

    • TheBlackRabbit

Your not managed corn where did my optimistic corn go! Q.Q

      • 罪罰

        I have my exceptions :(

        • Guest

          Q-Q

  • Bob Obb

    Never cared for it anyway

  • Rafael Martines

I really want to try to be “hyped” for this game… but IS IMPOSSIBRU

  • new_tradition

So this is the first F2P game for PS4?

I wonder how many GBs it’ll be when you eventually DL it, lol.

    • Solomon_Kano

There are a number of F2P games on PS4, but I suppose this is the first that’s exclusive.

    • Zackasaur

No, the PS4 already has a lot of F2P games confirmed, including Planetside 2, Doki Doki Universe, Warframe, Blacklight: Retribution, and DC Universe Online.

  • DarthBrian

In what universe is this a bad thing? I’m so totally confused.

    • Xaltmas

The fear that it’ll be loaded with microtransactions and that the game will skew in such a way that’ll make them necessary.

    • Sevyne

It really depends on how they approach it. I’ve seen some FtP models work pretty well, but I’m not so sure Capcom is financially in a position to make it favorable in any way to the gamer (though I’m sure MH4 sales made them do a little dance).

I’ll give it a fair chance of course. As I said before; No real risk in giving it a shot. For all I know it could work out alright, and I was interested in it.

    • Kevadu

There is a fundamental difference between the way traditional and free-to-play games are designed. Companies don’t make money just giving things away for free, after all. Free-to-play games may be theoretically possible to play without paying, but they’re typically balanced in such a way that the games are *deliberately* annoying if you’re not constantly spending money on microtransactions.

If it’s a game you’re going to be playing a lot then it’s *very* easy to end up spending more than the $60 you would have spent for a retail game on a FTP game. Even more than that, by their very nature these games are constantly dropping you out of their worlds and shoving payment options in your face. They’re less immersive and have intentional gameplay restrictions.

And some of us just like being able to buy complete products and then be left alone rather than effectively renting them…

      • DarthBrian

I never thought I’d be the one to say this but maybe we should hear more details before we bring out the pitchforks on this one. :p
I recall the last time Capcom tried to nickel-and-dime us (on-disc DLC IIRC), they responded positively and said they wouldn’t do that again and as far as I know they haven’t. (though I could be wrong)
Also, this way everybody gets a chance to try it out and see if they like it, and if they do, then they can spend money on it. Personally I’ve always been a fan of “try before you buy” so this just seems like a fine idea to me. *shrug*

  • Invisbin

Soooo confused. Why is this bad again? Everyone was in love with this game until FTP was seen.

    • Carlos Luis Ayala

      F2P is all lies

    • Zackasaur

Some people just aren’t very smart. They’re reacting on assumption, rather than waiting for details. It’s a common trait for the non-intellectual. :/

Maintain your hype! We have no negative news so far. All we know is that the game looks awesome, and that it won’t cost us anything to play. As for further information on how it will make money, we have to wait. It could be purely cosmetic, for example.

      • Invisbin

Yeah I agree. If we’ve heard nothing but good news so far, I have no idea why this should be bad news.

  • $30632660

    Lmfao

  • Alkhan

Yeah, Let’s all cry about getting games for free because that make so much sense. Also, let’s all act like we didn’t see this coming after Capcom specifically said that they were going to try to cash in on more DLC, expansions, re-releases, and stop outsourcing their IPS.

Emphasis on DLC and expansions in this case.

    • Carlos Luis Ayala

They’re not free though its an illusion

      • Alkhan

I’m aware of the wait times and micro transactions that come with F2P games. It’s still free for the most part. That’s good enough for me since I would have never paid for the the game (The only Capcom game that I’ll ever even consider paying money for is a new Megaman Battle Network game and that’ll never happen)

      • Zackasaur

You don’t know that it’s an illusion. In some games, like Warframe, it is not. The payments could be for cosmetic things only, or for EXP cheats. Stop overreacting when you are not yet informed.

        • Budgiecat

This is Capcom we’re talking about…hello…

  • Belenger

Dragon’s Dogma director involved hype going up, Ono involved doing some stuff in stage hype up, remoteplay actually being USEFUL hype high soaring, “high level skill THE WORLD” *explodes*.

    “Free to play announcement”

Nothing to see here folks move along…

    • Zackasaur

Why? They have confirmed nothing negative so far. A lot of high-end F2P games offer things like cosmetic items for monetisation.

      • Belenger

While I do agree and I actually hope that online model changes to a degree where F2P does not mean P2W it has yet to be widely demostrated and accepted, specially when it comes from a company with a lackluster record regarding monetary transactions.

I want to be proven wrong, but i’ll just wait for Dragons Dogma 2 G, the final version of the unannounced game.

  • Carlos Luis Ayala

    NOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Meanwhile X180 gets a real Dead Rising sequel fuck Crapcom :-/

    • Zackasaur

Yeah, I’d much rather have Deep Down.

And I don’t know why you’re saying “no” to something you don’t understand. We don’t have any negative details right now.

  • maruhadapurpurine

“Hey dude lets kill that dragon again” “No way dude, I died and now I have to wait 2 hours to get back or pay 2 bucks”

deep down? thats fucking fitting name right here.

  • bloodiOS

So much drama, whatever, I’m happy that I don’t have to pay to play the game. I’ll just stop playing and never care for the game again the moment it requires me to pay for something to progress further, simple enough.

    • Budgiecat

which will be like the first 10 min lol

      • bloodiOS

        Would still be a good 10 minutes…

  • Zackasaur

    Wow. o_o

    Do want.

EDIT: I’m disappointed in the uneducated responses of some (not all) commenters below me. All we know is that this game looks fantastic, and that it is now free for us to try and play! We don’t know how they will monetise it. Games like Warframe (coming to PS4 at launch) are high-quality, F2P, and just make money on things like costumes. There is no reason to suddenly assume that we’ll be waiting hours between deaths, or that we’ll have to pay $5 to fight a boss. Don’t be asinine. Be rational.

  • Budgiecat

I knew it! I KNEW Capcom was going to jump on this F2P bandwagon!

  • http://twitter.com/RaiuLyn Raiu

First MH Frontier… and now this…

Thankfully I kept my expectations in check….

  • http://twitter.com/kazumalynx Zero

I understand why so many are upset with this news. On the other hand, I’m going to be positive about this. I still think the game looks great, and I won’t judge it until I get an opportunity to play it.

With this announcement, that means I’ll be able to play it for free. I’m hoping Capcom follows other successful free to play models. Everyone is worried about it becoming a pay to win type of game, but not all F2P games are pay to win.

So long as they avoid pay to win scenarios, this could prove to be a good move.

    • Zackasaur

      Exactly.

    • kiri25

btw I am a bit curious about something? Playstation offers a lot of free stuff from full retail games with plus to F2P games that don’t require plus. So my question is do you think this will hurt MS seeing as if u want to do anything online u need live, or has MS changed this not to include F2P b/c it seems like this is starting to become a trend.

      • shogunknight

The difference is most users of xbox already have been using xlive gold compared to Sonys recent psn paywall in ps4. So most xbox gamers may not be affected due to this

        • kiri25

Well it just seems that ms is missing out on all the F2P due to live so I was just curious if this becomea major thing with more well known games going F2P how it might effect them.

          • shogunknight

True, PS4 has more 3rd party F2P titles compared to X1. If many gamers were worried about this, Im pretty sure MS would talk about it and probably leave out some titles behind the xlive paywall, though im not sure the paywall is the cause of F2P games not coming to X1. Who knows, some of the F2P titles might be timed exclusive (apart from the Sony exclusive titles) or maybe something more than that

            • kiri25

well if the paywall is not that cause I’ve no clue what I could be? Its like zero stated if u have to pay for live to access these games it no longer really F2P and defeats the purpose.

I will agree that ATM it might not be hurting MS but if it were to take off and becomea huge thing then I think MS would have no choice but to change their policies towardslive.

      • http://twitter.com/kazumalynx Zero

Good question. I think it’s somewhat of a wash right now. The popularity of live balances things out.

Currently, the PS Plus service and no charge to play online games are big advantages for Sony. Where Microsoft has the more popular online service, it also has time on it’s side. Live was out before Sony had an established online service, along with the 360 launching before the PS3.

When you look at the upcoming next generation. I expect things to be very close. It’s going to be interesting. Both consoles are coming out around the same time, both have well established online services, both require you to pay a fee to play most online games.

Sure, the free to play games that come only to PS4 will be advantageous for Sony. Just so long as they don’t end up on XB1 with the same set up.

The real test will come when you have a game, on both platforms, it’s free to play, but you have to pay to play it still on XB1. Where on the PS4, you can play it without having to pay a fee.

To answer your question. Yes. I think it could hurt Microsoft. Perhaps not in the same way your thinking. My guess is that many F2P titles will simply not be available on the XB1. Well, if Microsoft forces the live requirements that is.

It defeats the purpose of a free to play game if you still have to pay to access it.

        • kiri25

well not sure what u meant by the “way your thinking” I’m just noticinga lot of well known titles have started to go F2P. Ace Combat, Soul Calibur,Tekken, and even new ips like deep down. So if this trend where to continue with more major titles how it might might effect live and its policies.

          • http://twitter.com/kazumalynx Zero

I’m sorry, that was a tad confusing. I meant we might see that hurting Microsoft on different levels. A really big loss versus a small loss. I’m really not sure how much it would hurt Microsoft right now.

You bring up some good points about all of these recently announced F2P titles. I think those will benefit Sony, but I also think they most likely will not be released on an Xbox platform. Unless some kind of deal can be worked out. Or, the publisher just doesn’t care about the game being behind a pay wall on one platform.

    • http://twitter.com/RaiuLyn Raiu

It’s not free to play model itself…. it’s what capcom can do with it that I’m worried about….

      • shogunknight

As long as capcom does not lock the story and required armory in in-app purchases, it should be fine. Though i would have preferred if the game had an offline mode at least :(

      • http://twitter.com/kazumalynx Zero

I understand the concern. Capcom does not have the best track record. I hope they do the right thing here.

    • Budgiecat

Thats what bothers me The game looks too slick and high budgeted to get away with being F2P.

Tekken Revo basically recycled TTT2 parts as it seems Soul Calibur LS is as well. Gundam Battle Operation looks recycled as does even the Ace Combat Infinity…
This game looks like a high budget AAA title with next gen graphics rivaling even the top PS4 name titles for best looks so far, which before this news, most were expecting a regular $60 price tag to go with it with a huge world to dive into with plenty of depth.
Now they announce F2P this game doesn’t look like something quickly put together to get easy cash grabs left and right.
The gameplay is bound to have some halting catch preventing you from continuing on without having your wallet shot up with a machine gun of microtransactions..

      • ArmoredBoar

Gundam Battle Operation is 100% original material rushed to go out for the general public which is why it’s such an unoptimized piece of shit that runs below 20fps. It is virtually unplayable.

I’m positive about Deep Down’s success because nothing could ever be as bad as Battle Operation, from its terribly wasted potential as a successor to a mediocre but enjoyable game, to its stamina model which is downright robbery.

Sometimes I feel like the people worrying about F2P never played a PC MMO in their life that wasn’t made by Nexon, because most accusations don’t apply to the rest, screaming pay2win when the only actual reward is progress, nixing “competitive” aspects almost entirely.

    • Sevyne

I was nearly ready to drop $60 on the game whenever it came out. My hype for the game isn’t completely gone, but the FtP did hurt the momentum of it a bit. Not because it’s FtP, but more because I have a hard time trusting Capcom to do right with it.

Still, I think it could work out. I mean, IF the things I would need to drop money into to make the game a fulfilling product is equal to or under $60 then I’m totally fine with it because I was ready to spend $60 anyway for a full retail game. If to get the complete experience, I have to pay any more than that though, you can count me out.

It’ll be a tough call for sure. I’ve seen FtP work pretty well on a few occasions. In fact, I do think the FtP model itself is good for the industry (so as long as it isn’t abused to hell and back). Just going to be a matter of mathing out what’s worth a purchase.

  • kiri25

Idm the free to play tbh. Yes they are going to do something to earn money but I seriously doubt it’ll be pay to continue story.

U might need buy future dlc like costumes, stat boosts, or new side dungeons that may not be need to experience the full games story but could add alittle extra to story if you so choose to want to play it. Sorta like with Valkyria chronicles dlc where u could play as eddy or selveria. It’s not important to the overall story if u don’t have but it adds a nice touch the game.

  • shogunknight

I dont think its very bad as of now, sincerely from the reactions gotten now it would have been worse if the game was pay to play. We just have to patiently wait and see how their in-game payment offers stands out. I just hope its something we can do without (even though it means we spend more time with the game than others that pay) like in mmost free to play mmos

  • Niji Hearts

If we have to pay for anything other than cosmetics i’ll just skip this game. But I won’t judge it now, I’ll wait for more details.

    • Zackasaur

I would also be fine paying for future expansions (new dungeons and the like) and such.

  • LunarHaven

So what’s the catch? You start every dungeon with two lives? And you have to pay for every life to continue exploring? No in game currency? So if you want equipment you need to buy it with real money?

This may turn out to be even uglier than we thought… NOONE goes free to play with an expensive looking project like this unless they are confident they can leech 60 bucks out of each and every one customer. So let’s wait for the catch people… Got my glove ready………… when is the ball coming…….. can’t see it yet…. lol

    • Zackasaur

That is simply not true. Look at Warframe, for example.

  • Ritsujun

    Calm your fiits, Beeburr’s.

    • Budgiecat

But we’re so nervous…even though we have Mayweather walking towards the ring with us and we’re wearing dark shades…

  • gamelayer

They need to change the name to ” Deep Sh*t ” Because that’s what Capcom will be in if it backfires.

  • http://www.psthc.fr ExTrooperBrenTurner

Reading your comments, it looks like if a game is free-to-play, then it’s automatically crap. Guys, what the heck ?! That is NOT true. Look at Tekken Revolution : the very first F2P game in the series, and it’s still awesome. I really think you should not think like “giving money for this game guarantees its quality”. It can be a F2P game and still be excellent (I’m not saying Deep Down is, I’ll know it when I try it).
Anyway, do not complain. They’re giving away their game, everyone should be okay with that.

    • kiri25

Sadly no matter how much good a company might do if u make a bad mistakes or do something ppl don’t like as in not localizing a in the west b/c the sells showed the company it was not profitable to do so, ppl are going to cling to that more so than to good.

However that being said capcom has been doing some really messed up stuff as of late. Breath of Fire is revived but on a smart phone?? Mega man legends looked like a go then the scrapped it?? Re-releasing street fighter 4 9million times lol and I’m sure there is more like not releasing an onimusha hd collection!!

But they have done some good like okami HD but yea capcoms track record right now is not so great.

      • http://www.psthc.fr ExTrooperBrenTurner

Agreed. But I was more thinking of the “what ? F2P ? I’m out” thing. Capcom may have made mistakes (what company never did ?), and I can tell you I’m far from being their biggest fan, but I think one can not judge a game only because it’s F2P.

  • Willgaea

This game is going to take forever to download on my mediocre connection. If DCUO took me 4 hours, than this game might be 8 hours+. I’m just not feeling the no disc option (in all situations :P). I’m completely fine with F2P.

  • Namekaze_Minato

I am starting to suspect that this game was made to test and/or refine the “Panta Rei” engine. They could easily use gameplay data and feedback from players to continuously update the engine; and then use the “Panta Rei 2.0″ to craft a new game that is perhaps almost identical to Deep Down but a “full” game.

  • Zancrow

Eh, not exacty happy about this.
But we don’t even know what this means, so I’ll wait before judging it based on nothing.

    • Gigus

      Micro-transactions!

  • kenshee

Well, this could be a very good thing.

I could imagine this being done because Sony funded it (started helping with development and now it’s an exclusive F2P? Yeah, that’s about as perfect for sony’s ps4 marketing as it can get, so they’d have to have paid for it).
It works very well as a great push for people to buy the ps4, hell, now even I’m starting to think of picking one up before one of my must have titles comes out.
The initial price of the ps4 to me is fine (and I don’t really see it dropping very soon), and if I don’t have to immediately add 100+ euro to that just to have 2 games to play, that’s very enticing.

From Capcoms part, maybe they actually want to work on their bond with customers? They’ve done some … really bad things with dlc and such, having a truly free to play game out there with this quality would garner a lot of good will.
Not to mention if it IS mostly funded by sony, this is just a really easy way for Capcom to roll into next gen development without significant costs.

In fact, I’d really love it if more Japanese devs were helped by sony with getting into this upcoming generation, the ps3/360 gen to me felt empty in the early years, aside from microsoft funded projects. (mistwalker’s titles especially)
So if Sony’s learned from the 360’s great start and follows that up with how they’ve handled the ps3 in its later years, we have another winner on our hands. Hopefully, this also means that Japanese development gets the push it needs to make a comeback (on consoles).

  • LunarHaven

Ohwell, since it’s free now, the positive thing is that a lot of people include myself will guaranteed try it out at least despite the many doubts.

  • Learii

I confused what up with all these F2P on ps4 and xbox one games? is not like all ps4 and xbox one are MMORPG

  • Lelouch Vi Britannia

Since its F2P then capcom is really trying to fix their fuck ups. In case anybody hasnt heard Capcom only has $152 million left in the bank. They cant afford to fuck up anymore.

    • Omega_Shiro

If Capcom are going the risk to go FtP it might actually be done right. So my hype is still hyped for now.

    • Willgaea

They could make a lot of money if the market is made right. I just hope the micro transactions don’t involve equips. I’m fine with everything else.

  • HitagiHanekawa

    Goodbye hype.

    • Willgaea

      I’m playing this day 1. I only have to spend 450 for a ps3 x].

  • dez112

Well, guess I’ll have to reserve my judgement for now.

  • Al Buns

So many idiots free to play means you dont need PS+ and nothing more. This is not an MMO.

    • Sevyne

Actually that is not what FtP means. It means the game is free to download and play (bypassing plus is just an additional perk for this model of games), and the money a developer makes from the game is through micro-transactions. What the contents of those micro-transactions will be is something nobody knows yet, but that is what FtP games are. That is how they are modeled. Could be great, could be bad. We simply don’t know yet.

  • LordKaiser

LOL if this game fails Capcom is done for as they are not so financially secure.

    http://www.capcom.co.jp/ir/english/finance/review.html

Yeah, it’s funny when a game goes bankrupt. People lose their jobs and we lose a game company. haha?

      • LordKaiser

Well it’s their fault! And people already lost their jobs at Capcom. Also I’m not laughing at that fact but at the higher ups incompetence. You honestly believe that I’m happy about people losing jobs?

        • Willgaea

Well some people just want to see the world burn. Also From that article it looked like Christian quit Capcom, to join another part/team in the industry.

Hello backlog list. I think people’s HDD will be 10% filled with all the ftp games coming out on the ps4 if they decide to stick to the 500GB.

    • Willgaea

I have a feeling I’m going to need an external 2 terabyte drive in the near future.

      • Gigus

Whoops replied to myself XD. Just read my reply up top lol.

    • Gigus

Didn’t shuhei say that the ps4 doesn’t store stuff on an external like the wii u? I do recall the PS3 doesn’t do that either. As far as back ups yes but playing stuff off of external, no. Just basing it off of what I know.

      *edit*
Anyone else who gets confused, this comment was meant in reply to Willgaea regarding usage of an external drive.

      • kiri25

You are correct you can’t play games off an external HDD on PS3 or 4. However that is why sony allows you to upgrade the stock HDD to a larger one if you need mor space.

        • Gigus

I’m aware of that. In fact any person who has had a ps3 for a long time should be aware of that. Did you read Willgaea’s comment to me? Read his comment as he mentions external. And I stated that I made a mistake replying to myself below his comment.

          • kiri25

Sorry was bit confusing and you would actually be surprised at how many ppl dont know this and have wasted money buying systems with a larger a HDD b/c they were unaware you could swap out the HDD.

            • Gigus

I’m aware of the number and its not even surprisng. Even in general if you count causal with core gamers. If you have worked technical support or IT help desk, the numbers wouldn’t surprise you anymore.

What surprises me now as an IT service techinician is how I no longer find it shocking when people do not know there is a main power switch in the back of their desktop PCs.

      • Willgaea

They said they won’t support it at launch, so maybe sometime in the future when games start taking up 50gigs.

        • Gigus

Can you give me a source saying that cause i do find that interesting. I just find it redundant if they did that. The ps4’s hdd can be expanded if people are not satisfied with 500GB and its very easy to do. It would be convenient to have but I fear people might find exploits to it which could encourage piracy.

        • kiri25

I recall Microsoft saying this not sony. It’s possibly u might be getting the two systems confused, but if you can provide a link to your source it be most welcomed.

  • Omega_Shiro

If Capcom are going the risk to go FtP it might actually be done right. So my hype is still hyped for now. I hope this is not a bad attempt at cash grab but then they might do subscriptions *shudders* so I will still be looking forward to this it could also mean fresh content now and then since its an online game sorta.

  • Willgaea

I still honestly want a disk. I’d pay the full price just to get that hard copy.
