Danganronpa: Another Episode stars Komaru Naegi

Danganronpa: Another Episode, announced at Sony Japan’s pre-Tokyo Game Show press conference earlier this month, is the first action adventure game in the traditionally adventure game series. Famitsu this week has first details.

The “psycho pop horror” game is a spin-off set in between Danganronpa and Super Danganronpa 2. It will emphasize horror elements over puzzle solving elements.

The hero of this spin-off is Makoto Naegi’s younger sister Komaru Naegi from the original Danganronpa. Her weapon is a special megaphone, which shoots word bullets when commands like “Break,” “Dance,” and “Move” are spoken through it. When Monokuma is hit by a word bullet, it will react according to the bullet’s meaning.

Genocider Syo (Touko Fukawa) will join Komaru as a playable character.

As for a third Danganronpa, teased at the end of the debut trailer for Another Episode, it’s still in the approaching stage. Considering where it was teased, it will likely be a PS Vita title.
