Xbox One Game DVR restricted to Xbox LIVE Gold members
Game DVR joins Skype, Internet Explorer, and other Gold exclusives.
Xbox One‘s Game DVR, which allows users to record up to five minutes of gameplay at 720p and 30 frames per second, will be limited to Xbox LIVE Gold members, the official Xbox website reveals.
Xbox LIVE Gold will also be required for multiplayer gaming, entertainment applications, Internet Explorer, exclusive deals and offers, NFL on Xbox, OneGuide, Skype, and SmartMatch match-making (which should be a given, considering a Gold account is also required for multiplayer).
