How to turn the city into your ultimate weapon.

Ubisoft has released the first in a series of new Watch Dogs gameplay videos where the publisher highlights the game’s ‘innovative features.’

Part one is centered around hacking—how you can use it to “turn the city into your ultimate weapon,” considering how everything in the city is connected to the network.

Am I the only one starting to get IP fatigue from Watch Dogs? I know they have to advertise the living hell out of it because it’s a new IP but my god, they’re just making me want it less.

I partially agree. They’re showing a lot of the same stuff with new bits and pieces here and there. Those bits and pieces are fantastic (like the high-speed driving in one of the latest trailers which was only shown for maybe 5-10 seconds), but it does get tiresome seeing the same parts over and over.

I’m still excited about the game, but I’m not expecting every single trailer to be mind-blowing and full of new goodies.

Best thing for you, avoid watching more trailers. It will feel repetitive the more trailers you see of it, good thing its coming out this year. 2 more months i think

That’s one of the reasons why I go into media blackout mode on stuff. I get annoyed with all the trailers. It’s the same thing with movies. I want to watch the movie, not watch the move in the trailers.

I want to play the game, not see all of the game in the trailers.

Yeah, this is a problem with media and the internet in general. There’s a difference between being an informed consumer and getting consumed by information, and marketing departments haven’t quite figured that out.

More to Skerj’s point, it’s like, “Here is this brand new thing, yet by the time I get to play it, it’s going to feel old.”

Yeah I’ve gone on blackout immediately for MGSV and for Bayonetta 2 after the reveal trailer. I’ll be adding this to the list so I can still be surprised when I pick it up.

Ruins so many surprises the game would have (like the wanted thing)
but still, every time a trailer comes out I end up watching it, just ’cause I’m bored :/

The whole hacking thing is starting to look really gimmicky now.
