Plus, three new Pokemon and Shalour City Gym Leader.

Nintendo has shared new details on Pokemon X and Y. Find the lot of information below.

Mega Evolution

A new form of evolution Pokemon can undergo during battle. Pokemon that Mega Evolve “tap into hidden reserves of strength and power that have never been realized in their regular evolutions” and gain a “dominant advantage.”

Mega Evolutions like Mega Mewtwo and Mega Lucario will see their appearance change and stats increase. Some Pokemon who Mega Evolve might change their ability type during battle.

This type of evolution is only available to certain Pokemon under certain conditions and only occurs during battle. Once the battle ends, the Pokemon returns to its regular state.

To Mega Evolve, you’ll need a Mega Stone. The Lucarionite Mega Stone, for example, will help Lucario Mega Evolve. You’ll find these stones hidden throughout the Kalos region.

Some Mega Stones, like Blazikenite, can not be obtained during normal gameplay. To obtain a Torchic holding a Blazikenite Mega Stone, players will need to participate in a special limited-time Wi-Fi distribution event. Distribution for this Pokemon, who will also have the hidden ability Speed Boost, will begin on October 12 and run for a limited period.

Super Training

Super Training allows players to train their Pokemon while they’re not in battle. Players can use the touch screen to participate in activities that increase a Pokemon’s base stats and “underlying values” that defines it HP, Attack, Defense, Sp. Attack, Sp. Defense, and Speed stats.

One activity involves training a Pokemon by having them face “huge Pokemon-shaped Balloon Bots” in a virtual space, with both sides trying to shoot balls into the opponent’s goal. Players must use the circle pad and touch screen to avoid shots from the Balloon Bots while landing in their own goal.

Another activity, Core Training, lets players set up training bags for Pokemon in their party to use. Pokemon will train by themselves and raise their stats on their own, but by tapping the touch screen during a Core Training session, players can help their Pokemon raise their stats.

New Pokemon

  • Dedenne – By emitting radio waves from its antenna-shaped whiskers, this new Electric- and Fairy-type Pokemon can communicate with far-off allies. It can also plug its tail into outlets to drain electricity from them. Its Ability,Cheek Pouch, is new to Pokemon X and Pokemon Y. If a Pokemon with this Ability eats a Berry during battle, it will not only reap the benefit from the Berry, but the Pokemon will also be able to regain HP. Dedenne can learn the new Electric-type move Nuzzle, which looks cute as the user nuzzles up to a target with its cheeks fully charged, but it’s quite dangerous! Nuzzle will do damage while paralyzing the opponent.
  • Bunnelby – A new Normal-type Pokemon that creates its den by digging in the ground with its large, shovel-shaped ears. These powerful ears are strong enough to chop right through thick tree roots, making them a force to be reckoned with in battle. Bunnelby can learn the Ground-type move Dig. On the first turn, the user burrows underground, and on the second turn, it attacks! In Double Battles, a Pokemon can use Dig to avoid its ally’s attack and then dish out damage on the next turn.
  • Skiddo – It is now known that this Pokemon evolves into the already announced Gogoat. A Grass-type Pokemon, Skiddo has a gentle nature and is said to be the first Pokemon to live alongside humans. Because of this relationship, Skiddo doesn’t mind carrying people or supplies on its back, and it has become able to read the feelings of its riders through their grip on its horns. Skiddo can learn the Grass-type move Leaf Blade, where the user wields a sharp leaf to slice like a sword.

Gym Leader Korrina

Korrina is the Gym Leader of Shalour City, a seaside town known for its “amazing views.” It is also home to the Tower of Mastery, “which seems to have a connection to Mega Evolution.” Korrinna seeks to strengthen her Pokemon further, and it is said that she might hold the key to Mega Evolution. She also roller skates.

  • SuperLuigi

Even though it reminds me of digimon…this is pretty cool. I wish one of my favourites did this.

  • Bryce Blalex Douglas

While people may say this is a knockoff of Digimon (the supertraining reminds me of Digimon World 3), I think this is actually a much needed evolution for the series. It brings in totally new features that can be really well if done well. People having been saying Pokemon hasn’t evolved enough well if these new games aren’t evolution enough I don’t know what is.

    • Bobby Jennings

This right here. This is what people have been asking for. Changes.

      • Willgaea

People have been asking for a full fledged console game.

        • Victor Pleitez

That is what the wii u is for, or whatever it’s called.

        • Bobby Jennings

This game is like a console game on it’s own.

          • Willgaea

The Wii U needs some Pokemon love. ( the Pokemon that have arms and legs)

      • Elvick

        Well, IN THAT CASE.

Ditch the anime feel and go realistic with guns. CHANGES!

        Shoot down dem Pidgeys.

  • Calvin Chikelue

Sorry but I really don’t like any of the Mega Pokemon designs

  • Gammer21

Charizard better get a mega evolution lol

  • Bobby Jennings

Lucario looks great in his form. REALLY looking forward to this game.

  • $30632660

If nobody was already convinced by now, this trailer proves it, Pokemon officially just went Digimon.

    • Renaldi Saputra

      the monster design? not really..
the new features? yes, most likely

      • LiitTutubi

As a Pokémon fan: “Oh yes, awesome!!!”

As a Digimon fan: “Oh yes, awesome!!!”

    Po Po Po
    Pokemon Pocket Monsters
    Pokemon are the Champions

    • MasterSensei

      Into Pokemon Champions
      To save the Pokemon World

      • Renaldi Saputra

        To win the Orange League

  • Renaldi Saputra

super training? whut? so they now become like the first Digimon World and re:digitize..

and eventually pokemon X Y will change its name into Pokemon World Re:Digitize Decode

    • Renaldi Saputra

huh? downvote? well, a fanboy’s work, pretty much

  • OverlordZetta

Not sure I like the “distribution only” connotations going on here – that’s going to give early adopters and such an unfair advantage. Nintendo needs to just make this stuff regular DLC already.

  • HeatPhoenix

I guess it’s time to pick up drinking.

  • Zancrow

Finally they stop playing it safe and change things up!

    • Elvick

By copying Digimon. Changing it up indeed.

      • dior

You’ve only heard of Digimon and never played it or watched the anime in your life, I’m assuming? Because these designs don’t even look like Digimon and the process of evolving to Mega form is nothing similar to anything in Digimon.

        • Elvick

You’re only a fanboy, I’m assuming? – There, now that I’ve matched your dick level…

I’m not talking about designs, or even the Mega forms of Digimon.

          You use a cre…stone. To transform into a new form, that’s temporary…

Gee, that’s totally not like Digimon at all.

        • Renaldi Saputra

I kind of agree with Elvick.. The design doesn’t look so digimon-ish indeed, but the concepts are..

have u heard of X Antibody digimon? have u heard about Re:Digitize? did you play it?

if yes, then it’s no lie that these new pokemon features look like digimon

    • Zancrow

That’s the reason I don’t like the Pokemon fandom.
      They’re so afraid of changes.

  • Guest

Raise the cap to 200. Bam Mega Evolution.

  • Willgaea

Raise the cap to 200. Bam super mega 2 evolution at 101.

  • MasterSensei

    This needs to happen!

    • Victor Pleitez

      Mega charazard and mega sizzor

  • Elvick

Wonder if they’ll start to poop and require food in the next Pokemon game.

    • Renaldi Saputra

and then they introduce new poop pokemon

    • SOLOmio

that would be like tamagochi game!

  • Victor Pleitez

Great so basically our Pokemon can go super sayian during battle. Nice!

  • LiitTutubi

People compair the new features with the ones of the digimon world games as if it was a bad thing … I think this is great, this is something I wanted for the pokemon games for years now! Finally I can train my pokemon without spending hours of EV grinding.
And the Mega Pokemon could be actually a great way to boost some Pokemon which are currently under used. I’m really looking forward to see this new features in action!

    • Renaldi Saputra

who said it’s bad? I just thought the training concept was similar to Digimon World game.. anw DMW was an awesome game, though

  • Sundial

Seems like a very interesting gimmick.

  • SOLOmio

if they go back to normal is not an evolution is a transformation!
can someone tell me that i am wrong, cause i hope i am!

    • McPoo

I suppose they’re still evolving, just devolving again at the end of the battle.

Bit stupid tbh, but it might make the battles more interesting.

  • Ace

    Mega MewTwo-mon
