Pokemon is getting a new anime in Japan. Set to debut just before the launch of Pokemon X and Y as a TV Tokyo special program on October 2, Pokemon: The Origin stars Red from the Gameboy games Pokemon Red and Green.
The story begins when Red receives his first Pokemon—a Charmander—from Professor Oak. Along his journey, he’ll battle against his rival Green, gym leader Brock, and the evil organization Team Rocket. In a fierce battle against Team Rocket boss Giovanni, Red will encounter an unknown Pokemon.
