    Nice :3

Not sure how I feel towards her new look, but I can’t wait to see how she plays. I’m sure everyone is going to flip their shit when Bridget is revealed though. They’ll probably make him look way more feminine :P

    • Budgiecat

No this time around he took Human Growth Hormone, Testosterone Replacement Therapy, a host of various Anabolic Steroids, and has been eating plenty of horse meat..

      • https://www.youtube.com/user/GamingHeroTetsuya TetsuyaHikari

        >horse meat

I’ve seen enough hentai to know where this is going.

        Stahp :|

  • Pyrofrost

All right, my favorite GG character is confirmed!
    I couldn’t be happier.

    • Sevyne

      Hell yeah!

    • https://www.youtube.com/user/GamingHeroTetsuya TetsuyaHikari

Mine was revealed right from the beginning, lol. I’ve been maining Ky since the original GG, so I’ll be playing him again in Xrd, of course :3

      • Pyrofrost

I like to play around with everyone; however, my main is Millia and my second is Bridget ^_~

I usually stick with one character in fighting games since learning more than one is a bit too complicated for me, haha. Truth be told though, I did try to play multiple characters in Melty Blood and Guilty Gear.

I mainly stuck with Ky, but sometimes I’d pull out Robo-Ky (although I honestly prefer his XX or X Plus form where he actually looks like Ky as opposed to his robot form introduced in #Reload), A.B.A. or HOS. My friend basically forced me to stop using anybody but Ky though whenever we played.

He said Robo-Ky was cheap, lol. He also got mad when I’d pick A.B.A. because of her aggressive mode since apparently he had a hard time dealing with her then and he claimed HOS was hax, haha. He got the same way when I picked up White Len in Melty Blood as well, yet he was fine with playing against my Ciel?

Bleh. I have trouble against certain characters in fighting games (who doesn’t, when the person is obviously counterpicking because lol tiers?), but I have never told someone to not pick a certain character. I’ll probably have a new stick by the time this game gets ported though since Jojo and Blazblue Chrono Phantasma will probably kill whatever is left of my buttons on my current stick in the near future, lol.

I guess I could just buy some new buttons, but I think it’s time for a new replacement for my HRAP3-SA anyway =3=

          • Pyrofrost

Well, I don’t spread myself out to main everyone. I just like to get around and play with every one.
I generally have a main and a 2nd, and I don’t worry about things like lolTiers. I play with characters I like :p
I’ve also never played Melty Blood. (though I really want to).

I also don’t tell people who to play as, or who they can’t play as. I’m not exactly that good or hardcore or anything; I just like to play.
However, if someone is a cheap ass spammer and can’t win applying a modicum of skill, then I just won’t play with them. I can get the same entertainment value playing against the computer.
If I can manage to learn a few moves and not spam, anyone can.

The characters that really give me trouble in Guilty Gear have always been Ino and Faust.

As for my fight stick, I just use a Hori V3. I’m not that good at fighters, I’m not a competitor, and I’m not in the FGC. So I just don’t bother going custom. I just get a stick because it feels better than trying to play on a gamepad.

            • https://www.youtube.com/user/GamingHeroTetsuya TetsuyaHikari

Spammer, huh? That’s actually one of the things my friend called me, haha. I used to use that term to describe people when I’d get salty from them just playing Guile or something and throwing Sonic Booms all day.

It’s a tactic though, much how my friend got upset when I’d keep throwing Stun Edges at him with Ky and he kept getting hit by random ones from time to time, when I’d adjust the speed or change it up and use an aerial version. Still, if you’re falling for the same tactic over and over again, is that person really a spammer or are they just doing what works? I stopped calling people “spammer” the day I won a match with Leo in Tekken 6 by knocking someone down and sweep kicking them three times in a row every time they tried to get up, and won the match that way, lol.

Was I cheap for doing it? Some might say so, but it was his own fault for not adapting to the situation, so I had no reason to change my tactic. I understand where you’re coming from, but there’s a fine line there and it’s hard to determine which side you’re on since both sides have good arguments.

              • Pyrofrost

Sure, I guess on one hand, it can be referred to as a strategy depending on who you ask. Like I said though, I get equally as much entertainment value when playing the computer. Now that I think about it though, I actually get more entertainment value from the computer.

This is coming from a guy that takes losing pretty damned well.
One night, a friend beat me 100 matches to 0 in Tekken 6. I lost 100 and didn’t win a single one. However, the guy knows what he is doing and mixes it up. I can live with that and not actually get irritated.
I have another friend who basically finds the simplest spammers in any fighter, and spams. Now I can get around it and beat him; however, I just don’t play fighters with the guy anymore at all. I already know it’s going to be no fun and I will just have to figure my way around his latest spam tactic. I’m just not willing to sacrifice my fun to people playing like that.

                It’s just a preference

                • https://www.youtube.com/user/GamingHeroTetsuya TetsuyaHikari

Yeah, I can understand that. Those of us that are wanting to take our game to the next level though must understand how to defeat even scrubs that have a low skill level and only spam projectiles and uppercuts all day though, lol. It’s funny because sometimes I actually have more trouble with guys that do this as opposed to the ones that have mix ups and whatnot.

Sometimes I’ll try to set someone up for a mix up, but they won’t guard this particular string of hits, throwing my whole rhythm off for a moment. I’m like, “Wait… Why the hell would you get hit by something so obvious?! No no no. You’re supposed to guard, then I throw in a low and go overhead to catch you during a guard stun for a free hit, THEN lead into the combo.”, lol. I do get what you’re saying though. It is certainly more fun playing with someone that uses more of their character’s abilities.

              • MosquitoLemon

Yeah, I do not believe in the term ‘spammer’. The reason why VS arcades are best out of 5 is because it gives each player time to learn the other player’s tricks. If you get stuffed by the same move for 3 rounds in a row… well, you just aren’t very good, hahah.

    • MosquitoLemon

Yeah, apparently it was wiped from my memory until just now, but I used to play a mean Millia when I wasn’t using Venom

  • Luna Kazemaru

yes my lovely now all we need is dizzy

  • stack0123

She’s as gorgeous as ever. I can’t wait to see how much the others have changed also.

  • MrKappa

I suppose Arcsys and their ass tight polices will prevent any footage of this location test from getting out…

    • https://www.youtube.com/user/GamingHeroTetsuya TetsuyaHikari

Not likely, lol. Someone ALWAYS finds a way to get some footage from a loketest. Even something as simple as keeping a cellphone in a pocket of your shirt where the lens is just high enough to record what is in front of you.

They always find a way, heh.

      • MrKappa

Didn’t ASW have a loketest(or something like it) recently for BBCP? Terumi was playable there and though I have seen info about him I haven’t seen a single video.

They either stepped it up or no one cared to take video.

        • https://www.youtube.com/user/GamingHeroTetsuya TetsuyaHikari

I think it’s more like nobody cared since he’s probably just Hazama 2.0, lol. Just from doing a quick search here, I already found plenty of loketest videos on this HasekuraIsuna channel on Youtube, just none of Terumi.

  • MrRobbyM

Not sure if I’m liking the new look. It looks like they BlazBlue’d her to hell and back. Not necessarily a bad thing but it’s not GG.

    • Pyrofrost

I would say that time is more of a factor than anything else in that.
You gotta take into account the last time Guilty Gear characters were designed and now. Animation has changed substantially since then, so has quality.

Watch an anime from 2002 (480i), then watch an anime that has been playing this year (1080p)(10bit).

Also, she won’t look exactly like that in game. I can tell you for she won’t have the roses and shit in her hair.

      • https://www.youtube.com/user/GamingHeroTetsuya TetsuyaHikari

You sure about the roses? This IS Daisuke Ishiwatari we’re talking about here. I wouldn’t put it past him, heh. For the most part though, you’re right. The artwork for a character is generally just used as a presentation, but doesn’t have to follow it to a T.

        • Pyrofrost

          Nah, it’s just a character illustration. In-game it doesn’t have ‘em. :3
You’re right though, Daisuke Ishiwatari tends not to hold back. That’s part of what I love about him.

          http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NKGPhKu3jNg

    • FitzpatrickPhillips

It looks exactly like her, just a different colored outfit. The art is just more modern is all. Don’t bring Blazblue up.

  • Willgaea

Think May is going to join up?

    • MosquitoLemon

Yes, in fact until now I was under the impression that this was just going to be another GG game… no omissions, just maybe some new characters

  • Hinataharem

I dunno why, but with a character with wild hair, a hat like that seems like it would get in the way.

  • Ni ~Algidus~

now I just need baiken and i’ll be set to look at some loketest footage

  • FitzpatrickPhillips

    Mah girl right there! Yeeah!

  • Hidayat246

i dont remember she have a flower ????
    in the hair???

    • Willgaea

She had a flower attack in the original games.

      • Guest

        yup

  • Budgiecat

    She needs a haircut….

  • Souji Tendou

Don’t like the new look. Is this your doing Ishiwatari-san? -_-

  • Rohman Aditya ‘Zamboze’ Dharma

the artwork is good, but i prefer ishiwatari’s rough but artistic style for GG than this animeish-blazebluish style,,,
    can’t wait for other characters^^

  • LordKaiser

Why the stupid label on her hat? -_-

  • PrinceHeir

    Heaven or Hell

    Let’s Rock!!!

  • Guest
