Starter Pack includes game, original design PS Vita, and plastic models.

Following Tuesday’s Famitsu news, Namco Bandai has confirmed an October 31 release for Gundam Breaker on PS Vita in Japan for 6,980 yen at retail and 6,280 yen via download.

Additionally, the publisher announced plans for a “Gundam Breaker Starter Pack.” Still to be priced, the set will include a copy of the game, a PS Vita with a Gundam Breaker original design, and Gundam Breaker-exclusive plastic models “HGUC 1/144 Gundam and Mass Production Zak II Set Gundam Breaker Original Color Version.”

As detailed on Tuesday, the PS Vita version will include new Mobile Suits Turn A Gundam, ZZ Gundam, Gundam X, Dreissen, Destiny Gundam, and Crossbone Gundam X-1; 30 new missions; and cross-play and cross-save support with the PlayStation 3 version. The new PS Vita content will be added to the PlayStation 3 version via a free update on the PS Vita version’s release date.

THIS is the kind of bundle I’ve been waiting for. Hopefully I’ll be able to impor this.

    • Nate

Cool. Are there other games your thinking about getting?

      • Raiyu

Well for this year, I have a few. Ys Celceta, Pokemon Y, Kingdom Hearts, Toukiden, Gundam Breaker, J Stars Victory VS, Ragnarok Odyssey ACE, Masou Kishin, and SRW Infinite Battle.

  • JuhRo

Wait.. That’s like 71$ for that game in retail right? O_o Holy..

The bundle would be way more than worth it then if you don’t already have a Vita. (Not to mention if they make the Vita look all sexy-Gundam like.. ” a PS Vita with a Gundam Breaker original design”) Mmmm.

    • Elvick

Japan always pays more for games when simply converting. That’s why importing is hardly the perfect solution, since it’s expensive.

      • JuhRo

Yeah, makes sense (I just caved in and got Tales of Hearts R).. but dang..

It’d probably be around 50$ if it were to be imported, then.. (haha fat chance, right?)

    • Nate

I wonder if I could get this special vita and use my US account on it and have everything in English.

      • JuhRo

I’m about 99% sure you can. It’s the same process people use to have JPN accounts on their US Vita. By restoring to factory settings, you can change the default language.

  • SuperLuigi

I really enjoyed seed battle destiny on vita. Does this game play like that one?

    • Elvick

How hard is that to play without knowledge of Japanese?

      • SuperLuigi

Not hard at all. I got the plat in it and got the highest rank on every level without Japanese knowledge. Only part that’s confusing is you can take 2 different story paths in each arc. One in seed and other in seed destiny. Check out the “trophy guide” on ps3t.org for how to play the game even if you do not care about trophies.

        • Elvick

          Thanks!

  • HeatPhoenix

Can you play with PS3 players? Also, I neeeeed to see images of this vita.

    • TheExile285

Apparently the Vita version only has Ad-Hoc play with other Vita players but cross save support.

  • Nate

Neat. I’m excited to see what the vita is going to look like.

  • Budgiecat

Why does Namco think the West hates Gundam now.

Because of that stupid Crossfire game?

    damn that cursed game….
