Got to say, that new character model is a nice improvement over her old one.

As nice as this looks, I don’t know what to think about a PS3-remake of a PS3 game…

I’m not sure why people keep bringing this up. The original looked like a mid-tier PS2 game, so there’s huge room for improvement.

Exactly! Gust has grown leaps and bounds since they made this, so doing this only makes sense.

Think of it as an improvement, an opportunity for the developer to apply the experiences they’ve learned over the years to a game that needs it.

They want the trilogy to stand up better, and it’s weakest link is Rorona. So they’re redoing it…

      What’s bad about this?

They could have just ported Rorona to Vita and been done with it, instead they’re redoing it for PS3 and Vita. Totori and Meruru were fine, so they just got ports to Vita. This needed remade.

    Lovely, just lovely!

Awesome. And it looks as great as Atelier Meruru and Atelier Totori.

Looks great so far. It may be a bit weird for this to be remade already, but it’s honestly nice to see how much they care for the series in general. The game obviously had some growing pains when moving over to the PS3, same with AT3. So seeing them go back and rework the game is a welcome sight, to myself at least.

Now if only we could get some type of collection for Ar Tonelico on the PS3/Vita, that’d be quite keen.

It’s really awesome to see this. When I was first thinking about playing the Atelier games, they had already released Totori and Meruru was on the way, so I got to see the designs for all three heroines. Back then I thought Rorona was the best but there were other games to play and so it delayed my official entry into the franchise until Ayesha. Thanks to that delay, now I get to play Rorona remade nicely. I’m also hoping Ayesha and Escha get ported to Vita as well, I’d double dip on Ayesha and pay twice for Escha and Logy.

They should keep Rorona’s “idle” animation. It’s cute.

    This is really looking great.

I can’t wait to finally play through the trilogy on the Vita.

Ugh… Fine, I’ll buy this game again.

Actually, I’m really happy about this.
