They so rehearsed that XD. But no matter. Friday can’t come fast enough!!

      You’re getting in early too, huh? Haha. A shame it only lasts for 7 hours ;w;

Well, that’s what the schedule reads anyway. 2:00 A.M. (PDT) to 9:00 A.M. (PDT). I can’t do much in that time, but I’ll do what I can, then join the others the day after when it starts for everyone else, lol.

Phase 4 lasts for 2 days (3 if you were a part of previous Beta phases), Early Access lasts for 3 days. The starting time for phase 4 is Saturday, August 17th, 2:00 A.M.(PDT)/ 9:00 A.M. (GMT), and the ending time is Monday, August 19th 2:00 A.M.(PDT)/ 9:00 A.M. (GMT).

I think that may have been a mistake. The actual test schedule on the forum says that the test for qualifying people will run from 8-16 @ 2am PDT through the duration.

There is no mention of the downtime you speak of.

That’s what I’m seeing right now.

        • TetsuyaHikari

Nope. I saw a post on the beta forums which stated that phase 3 players will be granted early access starting 2:00 A.M. (PDT) through 9:00 A.M. (PDT) on the 16th. The official start is on the 17th at the same time, but runs until the 19th.

EDIT: Seems there was an error in the post. The mod has corrected it now.

The battle system looks boring compared to the cinematic camera angled battle systems of the offline FF games. I can’t even tell whats going on the screen it just looks like people mashing attacks standing in one fixed position.

          • Pyrofrost

Yeah, I saw a community rep mentioning an error in the timing a couple of days ago.

      • Kobracon

Yeah I thought it was for a few days??

  • TetsuyaHikari

Just for our neighbors across the ocean, you may want to include the others that they uploaded as well, Sal. It’s the same video, but subtitled in different languages. (German) (French) (Japanese, this one is a bit redundant though since anybody who knows Japanese won’t need the subtitles in Japanese as well, but posting it anyway)

Still, the other two are at least worth sharing though :3

  • Pyrofrost

Man, early access can’t start fast enough ^_^

  • new_tradition

Informative video. As an MMORPG n00b, it definitely explained some of the fundamentals to me. Nice touch talking about manners and such ^^

    • Pyrofrost

You should come join me and my mates on Hyperion ^_^

      • new_tradition

        I thought Hyperion was a Legacy sever….

I-I dun wanna screw up in front senpai >.<

        • Pyrofrost

Hahaha, I wouldn’t worry about that. You’re new and learning mate. ^_^

And besides, if anything, the Legacy servers are the ones in the most dire need of new players.

          • new_tradition

Huh, I never thought of it that way. Truth be told, I was looking into starting on it before I found out it was a Legacy server (the name gave me FF8 feels, lol). Since we can have a different character on up to 8 servers, I can’t see why not ^^

But I actually started soooooo late with Open Beta, so I’m gonna start on one of the new world’s in the few hours left while I still can *sighs*

            • Zero

I understand that. The beta has been really popular, so basically all the servers have been tough to log in too.

It took me hours just go get my character signed into Hyperion. Then, I got to play for about 15 minutes and my power went out for over an hour… lol.

When the game launches, you shouldn’t worry that much about playing on a legacy server. The game has changed a bunch, even the legacy players have to take time and relearn things.

Also, some are like me and want to level up Arcanist and take things slow with the new version. ^^

  • KnifeAndFork

I don’t like playing with other people. I like playing with myself.

    • TetsuyaHikari

      >I like playing with myself.

This is why we can’t have nice things.

      • Luna Kazemaru

That can also be implied in so many ways :P

  • carrebeannut

wish SE make battle system like tera online, this looks so boring wait skills to atk.

  • ddsfan2

Looks pretty cool. I’ve never really followed MMOs, but this looks a lot better (to me) than some of the more popular ones.

I don’t understand why people want to play alone, when the most exciting part of an MMO is teamwork and interactions with human players. (or at least, the part that justifies the endless grinding) Besides that, parties are a huge part of most JRPGs, so it only makes sense that Japanese made MMOs would follow the same trend..

Wouldn’t mind a more cinematic feel, but you can’t have everything.

  • PrinceHeir

    looks ace!
