Microsoft and Lionhead Studios announced Fable Legends for Xbox One during the Xbox manufacturer’s games showcase at Gamescom in Germany.
The Unreal Engine 4-based game “unites the classic gameplay that players have come to love from the series” with the next-generation capabilities of the system. Up to four heroes can play cooperatively with each other through Xbox LIVE in the series’ classic style of gameplay, and “discover the quests and stories of of Albion.” Or, players can act as the villain and control an army of minions against the heroes, commanding and managing your troops in real-time.
Fable Legends will use Xbox Smartglass on tablets and smartphones to enable “several gameplay enhancing features,” such as game progress tracking, learning detailed quest information, and waging war against heroes when playing as a villain.
