Art book included with pre-orders at select retailers.

Dragon’s Crown, Atlus and VanillaWare’s recently launched side-scrolling beat ‘em up dungeon RPG for PlayStation 3 and PS Vita, will hit Europe courtesy of NIS America on October 11, the company’s latest newsletter confirms.

An art book will be included with pre-orders at select retailers.

Oh very nice, my EU mates will be getting the artbook too ^^

    • http://twitter.com/kazumalynx Zero

      Yes. That’s great news. =)

  • Elvick

Hope everyone supports the localized version.

    • Derpazu

Nope. Already bought the US version because it’s a freaking joke that it still takes this long in 2013.

      • Elvick

Then try to change it. And no, whining doesn’t change shit. Publishers don’t make the hurdles they have to jump. It’s harder to release over there, that’s a fact.

So either do something or never complain that you don’t get shit since you don’t support it when you do.

        • Derpazu

I can complain all I want. Who are you to tell me otherwise? If the local publisher (not even local in this case because NISA does it) doesn’t release on time, it doesn’t deserve my support.

          • Pyrofrost

Actually, this is part of Atlus’ ongoing agreement with NISA, not something that just dropped out of the sky.

            http://www.siliconera.com/2013/04/08/nis-america-tell-us-about-their-european-publishing-arrangement-with-atlus/

Atlus has had problems in the past working with EU publishers and distributors (see Devil Survivor 2). NISA actually has an EU dept., in house here in the US. Then they use an actual local EU distributor. So they are capable of releasing games there in a more timely manner. Which is why that deal was made.
A two month wait compared to many of the EU wait experiences is not long at all.

Though if you are importing simply over the excitement (can’t wait to play), then I understand.

            • Derpazu

That was the case with Dragon’s Crown, yes. :p

Still, as a European who suffered through PS1 and 2 days, having to wait years for a release, IF a game was even localized, I refuse to accept stuff like that nowadays. I now have the option to import and will do it if the EU publisher doesn’t release a game in an acceptable timeframe.

        • Pyrofrost

*shrug* Are we going to start jumping on everyone who decides to import now mate? There are quite a bit of importers here at Gematsu, including myself, so you’re going to have your hands full with that.

I understand that your heart may be in the right place; but starting that debate, especially here, will get nowhere.
I’d just say, let it go. Importing games has been going on for a long time; and bitching someone out over it isn’t going to change their minds or make them stop.

*Note* I’m not on anyone’s side here, just stating that there is really no reason to debate this imo.

      • Pyrofrost

You haven’t been gaming long, have you?
I have nothing against importers, because I do so myself. However, many JP to EU localizations have been known to take far longer than this.

    • bL4Ck

Some people i know bought the NA version, i’m holding back to support the EU release.

    • Zancrow

      I wish I could. :(
But they couldn’t have picked a worse release date for me. xD

  • artemisthemp

Good to see it been release so fast in EU, but I fear the select Retail is GAME

    • Pyrofrost

I believe your fears will be correct. Isn’t that basically the EU GameStop?

      • MasterSensei

It’s not that bad (in my personal experiences) they don;t force used copies on me when I go to buy games

        • Pyrofrost

Hell, I like them more than Gamestop already, lol.

I’ve only used them to import, I’ve never dealt with their sales associates before.

      • artemisthemp

Nope they is GameStop of UK, While EU depends on Country.

GameStop ain’t that bad, they at less don’t give the big middle finger to Non-American, like GAME does to Non-UK.

        • Pyrofrost

Oh, is that just in store?
Because I’ve been able to order online without problems.

          • artemisthemp

            That’s online also.

    • MasterSensei

You can always order it from Amazon like I do to avoid going to GAME

      • artemisthemp

So they is getting the Artbook also?

  • PhoenixAutomatic~♪(๑ᴖ◡ᴖ๑)♪~

    • Jake_Indiman

      • PhoenixAutomatic~♪(๑ᴖ◡ᴖ๑)♪~

  • MasterSensei
