Also working alongside 'industry leading dev' on next-gen project.

Bluepoint Games—known for Blast Factor, God of War Collection, The ICO & Shadow of the Colossus Collection, Metal Gear Solid HD Collection, and the PS Vita port of PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale—is “currently bringing a Sony classic to current game systems,” according to a job listing on the studio’s website.

The developer is also teaming its “technical expertise with an industry leading developer on a next-gen, blockbuster franchise,” the listing mentions.

I love Blue Point Games! Thanks for ICO and Shadow of the Colossus.

Sony Classic remake or sequel on PS3 or PS Vita? ….hmn…

    Legend of Dragoon?
    Bushido Blade?
    Wild Arms?
    Syphon Filter?
    Legend of Legia?
    Final Fantasy Tactics?
    Vagrant Story?

    • Warboss Aohd

      all fine choices.

    • DesmaX

You can’t HD remaster PS1 games, so, if they’re doing that, it’s definitely a PS2 game

    • Solomon_Kano

Bluepoint’s expertise is remasters, so no PS1 games unless they’re expanding into ground up remakes.

    • Alkaid

Finally someone who mentions those games again!

Thank you for the post and yes to all the games on your list. But let’s make Wild Arms and Tenchu a collection of at least 2 games (same goes for Alundra). ;)
      *greedy* : D

    • Altin

I read Tenchu and I smiled on the inside. This would be glorious.

I somehow think though that they might localise a 1st Party Game though.

Anyway, your list lacks Rogue Galaxy! :D

      • Budgiecat

        and Pepsiman

  • Warboss Aohd

    ……Okage: Shadow King?

  • Watahashi

Maybe they’re just talking about Flower? Hopefully something else.

  • Zackasaur

These guys have done some amazing technical work.

  • bloodiOS

We are currently bringing a Sony classic to current game systems…

Please be Dark Cloud! Or Rogue Galaxy!

We are currently bringing a Sony classic to current game systems as well as teaming our technical expertise with an industry leading developer on a next-gen, blockbuster franchise.

The “industry leading developer” doesn’t have to be a Sony’s first-party team, right? Maybe they’re talking about a new Shenmue for the PS4? Then again, perhaps they’re just helping Team Ico on completing The Last Guardian?

  • Budgiecat

    Orphen remake

  • DongT

.hack collection even though its totally not it T__T

  • Elvick

I trust their work, so hopefully something awesome! Not sure what it could be though.

  • LordKaiser

    Is Media Vision somehow involved?

  • kenshee

So, I find the wording a bit odd.
“a Sony classic”, singular, this would mean not a HD collection like usual?
Or are they just being intentionally vague?

    • Zackasaur

I suppose it could be a classic -franchise-.

  • mesul6anme

    Ape escape 2,3

  • Demitri Maximoff

Shadow of The Colossus for vita :p

  • Cry_Zero

Maybe theyre doing the long rumored sly collection for vita?
Or mabe theyre doing an infamous game for vita. That could fit

  • Charlie

Stop making me keen, guys! All these suggestions are making me excited.

  • 罪罰

    Mister Mosquito HD

    • DarthBrian

      Mmmmmm…Mister Mosquito with Trophies. ::droooooooool::

  • Matthew McNamee

Am I the only one who wants either MediEvil, Ape Escape or PaRappa

  • Kurisu Makise

Dark Cloud HD Collection, just throwing it out there. Or ideally the Sony RPG collection and you get Dark Cloud, Dark Cloud 2 and Rogue Galazy /Dreaming

  • artemisthemp

Crash, Spyro and Dark Cloud now

  • kuusou yume

It will be something from the PS2 era

  • SOLOmio

just do a remake of ico and shadow of colossus with the graphics of the last guardian and i’ll be happy to have a vita once more!
