Assembly begins in 2014.

Warner Bros. and Travelers Tales Games have announced a video game based on the upcoming LEGO Movie due out next year.

The LEGO Movie Videogame will be released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii U, PS Vita, and 3DS. It will put players in the role of Emmet, an ordinary minifigure mistakenly identified as the most extraordinary person on the planet and the key to saving the world. Players will guide him as he’s drafted on a quest to take down an evil tyrant.

Like LEGO games before it, The LEGO Movie Videogame will let players collect and use LEGO instruction pages to build construction sets and other LEGO creations. It will have over 90 characters and 15 levels.

Will probably be pretty good. The Last few Lego games have really upped the fun factor. Lego Batman 2 in particular was brilliant fun, and they make an ace 2 player game too.

    Well isn’t that a mouthful?

Think I gonna go with Vita version as hardly touch my Lego Lord of the Rings for some reason.

Portable version would obviously be dumbed down.

If it’s as ‘good’ as Harry Potter 5-7 was on Vita, then it’s probably because it sucked.

So far the only fun LEGO experience I’ve had on my Vita was Legends of Chima: Laval’s Journey. I think that’s mostly because there’s no console version. So the cutscenes don’t look horrible, the game doesn’t feel gimped in comparison among other things.
