Looks ACE. Probably GOTY for me!

  • seyEliveD

I’m not a big GTA fan, but that looked damn impressive even to me.

  • King-Podigy-X

    About Damn Time!!!

  • Locksus

Wow! Game of the year material right here!

  • Fantasytales

incredible is unbelievable how much they were able to fit in this game. the 8 gig install is justified.

  • artemisthemp

The Stock thing didn’t look ingame :P

  • DesmaX

… I don’t even want to think how expensive the development costs was.

Oh well, I’m so buying this. Might just cancel my KH 1.5 HD purchase now.

Wonder how many players will be available on online…

  • Impressionnant

If the story really is all based around heists, then it could be interesting. The thing I hated about all of the other previous gtas is the mundane shit you had to do in the missions.

  • PrinceHeir

    ehh not really impress though.

most of this stuff have already been covered by Saints Row, Just Cause, and even Sleeping Dogs.

the mechanic im interested is the instant switch of characters at any time.

how does that work? would you need your character to idle around like order him to go shopping or sleeping somewhere before switching?

i’ll probably wait for the complete edition with all the DLCs and content on disc and PS4 version.

From what I understand, when you’re not controlling them, they go about their daily business. So you could switch to one guy and he’s just waking up, or switch to another and he’s out grabbing a bite to eat.

I think the level of detail is impressive. Saints Row, Just Cause and Sleeping Dogs do include a lot of the things found in GTAV, but all three of their worlds feel quite lifeless (Sleeping Dogs less so, they did a very good job). Rockstar always nail filling the world with life, and their attention to detail is fantastic. This in turn makes all of the little gameplay mechanics and features feel a lot more fun, as you care about the place that you’re doing them in.

    • Budgiecat

Yeah Sleeping Dogs added the Batman AC style melee system and Saints Row IV now has superhuman flying which is good since we have no proper superhuman flying mechanics on any PS3 game as of yet…

      • McPoo

The flying mechanic is the same as Prototypes one isn’t it? More gliding than flying. That’s how it looked to me, anyway.

I can’t decide whether to preorder this for PS3 or 360. PS3 is just the one disc, but Xbox is pretty much guaranteed to be better for online.

Once you’ve done the install on 360, you don’t need to touch that disc again, do you? You just carry on playing with the other disc. If that’s the case then it’s not too bad.

    • Peacenutman

If it’s anything like Mass Effect 2 and 3, you will have to swap disc even if you install all the discs.

Ps3 online is not bad, just no party chat. As far as my experience goes, both online quality about the same.

  • Marco Tinè

    I’m cautiously optimistic about this.

*crashes through his room’s window and bungee-jumps from the attic floor unrolling a giant GTAV banner all along the facade of the building, the rubber band’s recoil propels him into the ionosphere*

  • Budgiecat

intro song sounds like something from Far Cry Blood Dragon. Game looks a lot better than GTAIV thats for sure. I enjoyed Sleeping Dogs more than that game….

  • Budgiecat

Cmon Sega grow some balls and localize Yakuza 5 and work on Shenmue III already

    • Marco Tinè

Stop salting my wounds, please XD

  • Learii

I wish this game have classic controller setup but I guess not =(

  • xMCXx

Looks like everything I want from a GTA.

  • Skerj

One of the few games that I’ve seen be befitting of a large ass budget. I was rather disappointed with GTA IV but it looks like they’re going to redeem that. I wonder how deep planning my own heists will go.

  • MrKappa

Anyone hear any word on if there will be a PS4 version? If so I’ll hold off until then.

    • Marco Tinè

The PS3 and Xbox 360 versions are the only ones Rockstar is working on, in order to ensure the highest level of optimisation and performance. They aren’t doing anything else at the moment.

  • LightGenx

It looks glorious! Rockstar outdid themselves.

  • http://twitter.com/kazumalynx Zero

Okay, I’m impressed. This trailer made me want to buy the game.

    Good job, Rockstar.

  • bloodiOS

I see that they’re showcasing gameplay footage of the PS3 version, making me feel very confident about the quality of the final product.

  • Gilgamesh2025

I’m so hyped for this! Can’t wait!

  • Guest

    Frank West is back!

    oh wait.
