The FCC notes that the maximum clock frequency of the console is 2.75GHz, and its operating temperature varies between five an 35 degrees celcius (41 degrees and 95 degrees fahrenheit). The system also appears to be manufactured in both Japan and China.

Nice, I can see sony going for an October release

  • shogunknight

35 degrees max, is that a good temperature or thats too hot?

    • bloodiOS

Well, it’s cooler than the normal temperature of the human body ;)
Jokes aside, I think it’s a lot cooler than the original PS3 models so I think it’s good.

      • shogunknight

True, from what EternaLBleedinG says, its an improvement.

    • EternaLBleedinG

Well i dunno if this is the correct way of checking temperatures but i put a thermometer on the vents of my ps3 fat and most of the time it’s about 42C during summer.

      • shogunknight

Wow, thats quite hot. I guess the ps4 is an improvement then

Operating temperature refers to the temp the room should be, not the unit itself. So yeah, that’s rather hot, you might want to think about getting some air conditioning.

      • shogunknight

already in place, though we get about 33-37°C when its really hot.

Not particularly good, to be honest. Where I live (Sicily, southern Italy), we get 35° celsius by May, which is late spring. In summer, external temperature can get as hot as 43° celsius (109.4 F): that’s 22% over the operating temp. of the machine. Mmmm…

I’d say that’s pretty good. Some have their high-end PC’s at 55 to 60 degrees.

  • bldudas

    Is that good?

        Thank you

Definitely Nov release…don’t think it would be a Oct release, unless they can magically crank up the supply rate of the PS4s in the factories.

I do hope it’s releasing in Oct though lol

2.75GHZ Max frequency? Just needed 0.25GHZ more and I’d have been more than satisfied but this is still better than the 1.6GHZ it’s quoted at.

    Oh, that’s…

    pretty cool.
