First footage of Ubisoft Annecy-developed online mode.

Ubisoft has released a new set of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag screenshots, showing the series’ returning multiplayer mode, now with “evolved features” and a cast pulled from the Golden Age of Pirates.

Additionally, VG247 has gone up with a full preview of the multiplayer mode, including the debut gameplay footage, which we’ve attached below. It also confirms there won’t be naval combat in online games.

They did confirm the no naval battles in multiplayer during E3, which is fine with me. All I trly want is split-screen online :o

The one thing that I’ve always hated about AC’s multiplayer is how it literally becomes a bunch of people running around like idiots trying to stab each other. There’s no stealth or blending, hell, even trying to find your target isn’t challenging since chances are you can just look up and see them on a roof.

Not gonna lie, it has potential and CAN be fun every once in a blue moon, but just like the MP for a whole lot of other games, the charm is lost when the thing that makes the MP fun is pretty much ignored by a good 95% of players.

Sound like they improved the AC MP
