First high-definition Zelda lands on Wii U later this year.

The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD will launch in North America and Europe this October, and in Japan on September 26, Nintendo has announced.

The game will feature 1080p visuals utilizing shaders and refined textures. While gameplay is largely the same, some adjustments have been made to improve the game’s overall tempo.

One of these changes is to the Tingle Tuner, which you receive in the original GameCube version to connect to GameBoy Advanced. Instead, you’ll get the Tingle Bottle, in which you can leave Miiverse messages and screenshots to toss into the sea to wash up on other players’ shores.

I like the HD, but the oversaturation and bloom abuse actually make me like the looks of the original better…

Wind Waker on an emulator is the most attractive way to play this.

Anyway, I’m not super onto Zeruda, but Wind Waked is my second favourite one!

I like how you can now assign items to the D-Pad also – that’s a good feature.

Hoping for some new content – something, anything would be great.

    I’m excited…but I was hoping for a Majora’s Mask remake.
