Coming to Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC in 2014.

After a Game Informer leak, developer Respawn Entertainment has confirmed first-person shooter Titanfall is coming to the Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC next year.

A multiplayer-centric first-person shooter set for release next spring, Titanfall tells of the conflict between the pilots of Interstellar Manufacturing Corporation and the Militia.

Titanfall’s gameplay revolves around the conflict between man and machine, with players able to change between controlling a Pilot – a fast and maneuverable jet pack solider – or a Titan, a slow, large militarized mech.

“In addition to infusing the multiplayer experience with cinematic flavor,” said the game’s director, Steve Fukuda, “We’ve been rethinking fundamental combat and movement in the genre.

“Titanfall is unique in the way that it places equal emphasis on two drastically different and new ways to move and fight in a first-person shooter. The intersection of the two is a big part of what give Titanfall its iconic identity.”

Respawn Entertainment was founded by Jason West – since retried – and Vince Zampella of Infinity Ward fame.

I don’t know what to really think of it.

  • Locksus

It looked fun to me. It’s something I might try out on PC.

  • LastBoss

I love the concept, mixes sci-fi, speed, and interesting game play techs.

This is what I was waiting for all day. Slightly disappointed because it look better in my head when I was just reading about it.

I wonder what the cloud will do for this game though?

    • DarthBrian

Cloud probably does nothing for the game since it’s on 360 also. :p

      • zweii

        Yeah that true.

My stream cut out before they announced the price so I didn’t get to see it, but is it just me or are there framerate problems in the video? Was it like that in the stream?

  • SystemLimbic

hopefully respawn could bring down the titan

Can’t really feel any excitement from the gameplay footage and that graphics also looks rather outdated…
