'Rehearsal Edition' now available on Japanese PlayStation Store.

A demo for Puppeteer is coming to the PlayStation Store “soon”, according to a post on the official European PlayStation Blog.

The free Puppeteer ‘Rehearsal Edition’ – which is different from the upcoming demo – is also now available on Japan’s PlayStation Store, although it’s “not a traditional game demo but rather a uniquely regional way to introduce the world of Puppeteer.”

“In order to let Japanese players fully soak in the atmosphere,” said SCE Worldwide Studios Art Director, Gavin Moore, “the wide variety of gameplay actions available in the main game has been limited to just jumping and the scissors mechanic.”

“However, the EU demo will offer a much deeper representation of everything you can expect from the game.”

Those with Japanese PlayStation Network accounts can go and download the Rehearsal Edition now.

Puppeteer comes to PlayStation 3 on September 11.

Ah, gonna go get the Rehearsal Edition then. I hope we get the EU demo in NA then, since it’s different and I don’t feel like making an EU account that I’d never use again.

    This game looks simply amazing.

Indeed it does. Played the Japanese demo and my god, the graphics and the new take on platforming. Loved it, though very short. Cant wait for the full game :D

Neat. I enjoyed the Japanese demo and was wondering why there weren’t any heads in it to try.

Can’t wait to play the full game. The game feels great.

I already have an EU account, so I guess I’ll keep my eyes open for the Rehearsal Edition
