Latest look at Guerrilla's PS4 launch title.

Sony and Guerrilla Games have released the E3 trailer for Killzone: Shadow Fall.

The trailer shows the player on a recon mission in a more natural area with grass and trees, as opposed to the futuristic city stage shown when the game was first announced. It also shows the player’s ability to deploy drone-like shields and attack the enemy openly while still being guarded.

You know, after it was announced that the newest entry of Halo is going to be running at 1080p@60fps, I really hope the Killzone: Shadow Fall would also be the same (30fps is not cutting it for first-party titles anymore.)

I don’t care. 30FPS have worked just fine with the rest of the series for me.

30fps is fine for a game like Killzone. Though 1080p is pretty much guaranteed.

I was just thinking that if the Xbone can do that then there is absolutely no reason why the PS4 can’t do the it. I know Guerrilla Games is still in the middle of familiarizing themselves with the new system and all but I want them push it further still…

We still don’t know what Halo even looks like so we can’t be comparing it really.

Well to be fair, Halo may be 60FPS but for all we know it may run at 720p.

It’s really just preference. I’d love KZ to be 1080p@60FPS but I’d be happy with native 1080p@30FPS after living through an era of sub-HD games on consoles.

30fps is not necessary to make a good game. It also depends on how open the game is. Halo most likely will be linear unlike Shadowfall and the PS4 is capable of running games in 60fps.The game will be 1080p though.
