Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate: Core Fighters confirmed for west

The free, PlayStation Store-download version of Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate announced for Japan this morning will come to North America and Europe as Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate: Core Fighters.

As previously detailed, the game is a free download with four playable characters—Kasumi, Ayane, Hayate, and Ryu Hayabusa—and access to all stages and costumes, minus download ones you haven’t purchased. Additional characters will cost $3.99. All game modes are playable, save for story mode. But story mode can be purchased as an add-on for $14.99.

Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate: Core Fighters will launch alongside the retail game Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate on September 3 in North America and September 6 in Europe. Find more details here (US) / here (EU).
