See what you look like when you're scared.

Atlus and Zombie Studios have shared new details, video, and screenshots of Daylight, its newly announced downloadable first-person horror game for PlayStation 4 and PC.

The game is set in abandoned hospital and gives players only a cell phone to use as a light source. It is procedurally generated, meaning no clues, corridors, flares, or lurking specter will ever be the in the same place twice. The game runs on Unreal Engine 4 and is written by games industry veteran Jessica Chobot, who also voices the main character.

On PlayStation 4, the game promises to use “every ounce of processing power,” allow friends to share and live stream gameplay footage, and will use the PlayStation Eye camera to take pictures of the player the exact moment a scare happens. It also supports RealD 3D.

Chobot is an industry veteran now? I thought all she did was talk about games while looking pretty and licking PSPs.

Great graphics but err, not an ounce of horror was detected.

From woman’s prospective (logic) might be ‘horrorrrr’ who knows. Huh? ^^

If other players don’t feel any horror in that then it’s kind of moot, isn’t it? It wouldn’t be right to just target female audience in this case, seeing that as a game of this genre, it’s suppose to aim its appeal at the general audience, not just a particular gender. But it might have more to show yet and I’m willing to wait a bit more.

Atlus have a track record of making good games, but sadly they also have a track record of making stupid decision like Catherine Trophies and Region Lock P4: Arena.

I personally will keep a eye on Daylight and I may pick it up.

I’ll believe it when I see it… The game is nothing groundbreaking to look at tbh…

They’ll probably use every ounce of it, on supersampling ;p
